Favorite manga scene

I'm a huge fan of storytelling in sequential art form and Toriyama is one of my biggest sources of inspiration. This thread isn't about plot ideas, consistency, character development and so on, but about the abbility to successfully convey those things in a series of images/panels/pages/chapters etc. How well they the author handled the story from a graphical perspective.

To better understand what I mean, I'll give examples of some of my favorites:

Perfect Cell vs. Trunks - I really loved how AT chose to cut to Goku and Gohan's training in middle of the figth. Right after Trunks reveils his second upgraded form and seems to have the upper hand in the beginning, then it shows Goku reaching the same form in the Rosat. Gohan happily claiming that he could defeat Cell with that power and having just seen Trunks fight evenly with Cell helps create the illusion that things were going great for them. Then it cuts back to Trunks and Cell shortly and we see that something is wrong. Then we have Goku explanation destroy any hope for Trunks winning the battle. I just really loved how the author went back and forth between those two settings too bring together one idea , to use one to complement the other.

Nappa vs Piccolo,Krillin and Gohan - Now I like the whole battle between the saiyans and earth fighters but my favorite portion was the one between the three hour break and Piccolo's death/Goku's arrival. It all felt so fast paced and adrenaline inducing. Finding a plan, the plan failing , Nappa attacking Gohan, Krillin attackin Nappa, the Kienzan, Krillin almost getting killed, Piccolo getting back up... it really had a lot of action packed in under 10 pages.

Freeza's last attack against Son Goku-I'm talking about the scene after Goku decides to spare him and flies off and Freeza fire one last blast at him and Goku fires back. Those few pages with choice in panel arrangement are brilliant.

Anyway, I was wondering if anybody else has similar oppinions regarding parts of Dragon Ball the manga. It can be just a title page, a panel, a page, a chaper, a series of chapters a whole volume.

A lot of the thought bubble stuff. Like when Goku asks Bulma if she's going to make a necklace out of the Dragonballs in the first volume.
My favorite movie henchman is Sancho.

Follow my stupid crap on Twitter. Please note, I do not have time to reply to any PMs about color correction methods anymore; sorry about that.

1. I liked how Toriyama portrayed Boo's constant transformations one after another. That was just brilliant and very few mangas can ever compare to the manga version of the Boo arc.

2. I'll go with what Michsi said about the Goku and Trunks thing.

3. Goku using Kai-o-Ken on Vegeta. You could just feel every punch drawn there.

Toriyama is brilliant! In an age when you never had computers to help you out with drawing, the way he drew designs, landscapes and details in tiles and his ability to create ambiance in plain black and white was legendary.
