Custom Dragonbox Slipcase (Want one check inside)

Hi I've found a place that'll hopefully help me create high quality Dragonbox slipscase, one which will hold Volumes 1-7. Hopefully they'll be able to make them look similar to the official boxes...but wider of course

Anyway the minimum amount of boxes i'll hopefully be getting is 100 so once I have some idea of if this is going to happen would anyone be interested in buying a custom box?

I'll put up more information as I get it.

If all goes well it'll look like the original slipcases only it'll be wide enough to contain all 7 volumes, so yellow with some Dragon Box art and text etc

I'll upload some pictures when I can confirm it to be possible, just waiting for a reply of the company. I'm just looking for a head count since I'll have to get 100 of em.

TBH I havent got a design set up yet but it'll be 196mm x 304mm x 15mm to fit all the volumes

The current quote I got for Single walled slipcase printed 4/0 on 500mic white backed folding box board. Machine varnished, die cut and glued is 100 @ £243.80 + £200 for a new die.

I'm gonna ask if the card can be made thicker like the Dragonboxes and there gonna send me out a template so I can add your artwork. as soon as I get the specifics together and a finalised quote I'll be able to name a price but as of right now it'll be around $7 plus shipping to wherever.

Also on a side note does anyone know where I can find some high res Dragon box character pictures?

I did find one site (Anime Paper) that had a scan from the Daizenshuu artbook, but it was one of those sites that required a certain amount of points to download it. I can PM you it if you want.

BTW is there any art of majin buu that looks like it could have been on a Dragon Box? and would people be interested if I incorporated him into the box?

I like the Boo artwork on the Z Manga Box Set released in 2009. Gotenks/Piccolo Boo specifically. Just my 0.02

Sigh why did they have to make the DVD cases for the Dragonbox slightly bigger than regular DVD cases

This is turning into a rather expensive endevour so I'll have to give up for now u till I can get the money saved up.

You should post this in "General Franchise Discussion" to gain more interest, therefore more motivation for you to keep putting money aside for this. Or maybe someone will help you out on the money issue, then you could split profit. I'm sure there are plenty of people there that own the Dragon Boxes, and may never think to come to "Fan-Created Works".

I might leave it a month or 2 to get the money together. they actually sent me 2 samples of the cardboard they used today, 1 has Gloss UV (expensive) and the other is Machine Varnished (cheapest option) and the Gloss UV is very nice.

I figure if I'm gonna do this I may aswell have it done to Dragonbox Standard.

Once I've got all this stuff sorted out I'll make a topic in General discussion.
