Episode 98 English Release Confirmed

Just saw a promo for a "Lost-Episode" of Dragonball Z Kai on Nicktoons.

The promos I seen show footage from 97, where the gang resurrects everybody and Goku decides to remain dead.

98 is where Trunks goes back to the future and the series ends with a recap.

98 will not be airing.

I'm pretty sure that preview is from ep. 97 on Nicktoons' website and not from an actual broadcast.

Nicktoons wants the viewers to believe that episode 96 is/was the true ending, believe it or not. Was the promo stating that the episode will air on January 1st? If so, it was talking about episode 97, There is no info yet on whether or not 98 will air or not.

When Nicktoons aired 96, no NEP was included. From what I've heard, the Episode 96 on the Nicktoons website includes that preview. The reason for there being a preview on YouTube is because they made the mistake again and put 98's preview on 97's online streaming. I'm positive that when Episode 97 airs on January 1st there will be no preview included on that TV broadcast either.

Like Japan, Episode 98 will be a DVD exclusive as well.

You can clearly see that MR. SATAN was changed to "MR. HERCULE", well not all letters are viewable but that's that.

There's no proof for either side (Nicktoons will air or be a home release BD/DVD exclusive), but it might be a home release exclusive, still doesn't makes sense...

Nicktoons does not have the rights to air the episode on US Broadcast TV. I'm not going to bother hunting down the post, but FUNi Rep Sophie posted on FUNi forums that ep.98 would be a DVD/BR exclusive. (Not to mention there's no way to search user posts or even an advanced search function. )

If episode 98 is going to be DVD/Blu-ray exclusive then why in the holy mother of hell did Funimation give Nicktoons episode 97 with the NEP for episode 98 left intact? Honestly if the NEP wasn't at the end of ep 97 I wouldnt mind 98 being DVD/Blu-ray exclusive since Nicktoons wouldn't have been promoting 98, but the fact that it IS there makes makes Nicktoons look like a bunch of liars for in a way promoting something they dont even have, which in turn makes Funimation look like a bunch of liars for giving the fans the false impression that ep 98 would be on Nicktoons by leaving the NEP in.

Probably because of that group of people who complain that it's not complete. Also, maybe later they can show Part 8 ads on Nicktoons with advertising for the "Lost Lost Episode!"

If there's no point in airing Z Kai 98 then they shouldn't have shown their DBZ Kai NEP #98, at least the viewers wouldn't get the wrong idea.

But they did edit a sign in the background to say "Hercule," so wouldn't it have been easier to cut it?
Regardless, I don't think it will air, now that GT is on.

Episode #98 is a bonus, but since they've shown promos of it then air it, maybe on a "special day" or something.

97 didn't have its NEP aired and it still aired anyway. I don't know why we're going by them now.
