Yes, I have a DB Question (Cosplay)

Akira wrote:Wow, that last batch was terrible. The exception being the Chi-chi, that girl was pulling it off quite believably. The African-American dude as Vegeta made me chuckle in a good way. The costume was only so-so, but he had enough style to get the pose/stance almost perfect. If he had a better costume and a little more hair gel to spike up his 'fro, he'd be able to pull it off with some very decent results IMO.
I thought the same about him. I did like the Saiyagirl though.

Damn, you would think those people who cosplay as Z were doing so because their experience in Anime goes only that far. Hell, if I were going to Cosplay in Z at all (which my actually dressing up for whatever reason would be a surprise) I'd go as the Toribot, and bring a little diversity to the endless fields of Inu Yasha, DragonBall Z, Pokemon, Digimon, Final Fantasy, and other mainstream anime costumes.

Shitty costumes make Krunk sad.

 Holy shit, Jerseymilk! Where did you find those demons?! The Chi-Chi's pretty good though. If I ever *had* to cosplay, I'd go as the cat on Dr. Brief's shoulder. 8) Yeah, nameless black cats kick ass. ..either that or Roshi...

I need to cleanse my mind.
I actually saved this picture to zoom in on Gohan and show everyone in the room how stupid this face is, so stupid it's funny.

You can just picture him saying 'Yattaa!!' That's probably the words he wanted to say right there. By the way, that meant 'we did it!' in Japanese, Gohan says it a hell of a lot of times in the anime.

If I were to cosplay as someone it'd be Kami. Why? Well basically...

- I'm tall and thin
- My nose or sort of similar
- No one would recognise me in green with some wrinkles put in!!!

But seriously, I wouldn't cosplay ever, the only time I dreesed up in a costume was Green ranger from Power Rangers for the school carnival, and I was 8 or something. We were all sitting in the back of an 18 wheel lorry, it was raining, I was freezing, it was Hell, I was dying to piss and the teacher tried to come with some bucket expecting me to piss infront of who-ever was watching! Jokers! I held it in!

My mum made the suit anyway, it was wicked, apart from the helmet...made from a Kellogs Corn Flakes Box. The visor was from an old pair of tights. My eyes were visible!!!

I'll probably get told by the admin to leave the job up to him, but you can't type like that because it is kind of inappropriate.

Start a Sentence with a capital, sound has one 's', Australia is a country, that uses capitals too. And 'I' is made capital too when single.

You will get let off for being a new user, but in future, type right, alright?

Just look at the bold letters I've done to your post indicating your errors. And it still isn't that easy to understand, if you want people to take interest in your post, post it with easy-to-read writing, otherwise you'll get moaned at and maybe banned. You said 'sorry if I sound dumb', well, it did.

It's also a bit obvious by flicking through this topic that cosplay is people dressing up as anime characters, or film characters, or whatever.

No worries, you don't sound dumb. We were all new to the aspects of anime fandom once. 8)

Cosplay:

There is indeed cosplay in Australia. People all over the world participate in it. Below is a link to cosplay sites and conventions all over the globe. As a matter of fact, the girl that runs it is based in Australia.

Some people can pull off the Tori-botbetter than others.

For those of you who weren't around in the day, that was the image we used at toriyama.org when we first got our domain sniped out from under us. (For the record, that depressing green hue was chosen long before the Matrix came out.)

Here's some clip-art of Tori-bot bringing you the news as long as I'm at it.

Forgive the OT-ness, just reliving the glory days. Now back to your regularly scheduled thread.

HAHAHAHA!!!

You've got to be shitting me!! Who the the fuck leaves the house with a giant penis attached to their head! You'd think his mom or dad (and I'll assume he llives with his parents) would said something along the lines of, "Eh ... hey, son ... have you given your outfit a second look, there."

My Conclusion:
Doesn't own a mirror or have friends to smack sense into him.

Oh he has friends, all right. It's just he has the kind of friend who not only convinced him it looked cool, took the photo, and then posted it on the internet for everyone to see.

Okay, I don't mean to be a total jerk. It's all for fun, but come on, man ...

And if it's your friend were talking about ... I hope you've convinced him to burn that costume ... SEND IT TO HELL!!! That, or donate it to your local porn studio, I'm sure they could make good use of it.

And the ones posted as good cosplay are nice. And like what was said, the Japanese seem to pull it off better, especially the laaadies, SO CUTE!

A Japanese friend of mine showed me a GreatSaiyaMan & Videl outfit that looked exact, helmets and everything. It was Sweet!

I took a pic with a guy dressed as Saiyaman at one con. When some of my friends saw the two of us posing they said that all we needed was a Saiyagirl and two other guys and we'd have a full sentai team.

Dr. Gero's first draft of 17? ... Back to the drawing board.

Come on! Did he borrow his sister's pink pantyhoes for this one?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v176/ ... FT7112.jpg
He could of at least washed his foam hair.

The word "nerd" and "Dragonball" would never be in the same sentence if these people would just stay home.

By the way, what's the best way to find more Japanese fans dressing up? I can't get enough of those cute Japanese girls!

I won't lie. I'm not the most fit person in the world, so I don't fool myself into thinking I look good in tight clothes. If I do dress up it's usually loose clothing and with a mask of some sort. Hence why Fat Buu would be fun to play as. After seeing some of those Buus though...that's enough to scare cosplay right outta ya. Only one that came close was the Fat Buu who needed some facepaint. Not too shabby. You're right that Japanese seem really good at it compared to Americans. Who knows. They seemt o be better at anything involving their homegrown goods lol.
