DBZ on AS show
Well, I'm not sure if this is allowed, but it somewhat has something to do with DBZ... Yesterday while watching Adult Swim, a preview of this week's Robot Chicken came on, and to my suprise, I saw 2 Gokus, I think. Then there were socks with Goku, Chichi, and other people's names.. So, if you're interested to see what stupidity this show has to offer to DBZ, tune in to Adult Swim on Sunday night..

After the episode airs, sure. I'm not sitting there with the cable plugged into my video capture card waiting for the commercial to possibly air while I'm paying attention
.
And yes, folks, there is also a website.

I can't wait for this parody, sure there's been "Billy and Mandy"s famous "Chicken Ball Z" episode, as well as some cartoon about kid spies parodying the series, but this is the first time we get one on Adult Swim, I believe. If they use Sean Schemmel's scream from movie 7's dub when Goku gets hit in the nads, I'm gonna be ballin' on the floor with laughter. I can't wait for this, I know I'm taping it, can't wait! Some long awaited DragonBall parody fun is on the way!

So could you host that episode after it has aired and taped it. Or mayby anyone else?Conan the SSJ wrote:I can't wait for this parody, sure there's been "Billy and Mandy"s famous "Chicken Ball Z" episode, as well as some cartoon about kid spies parodying the series, but this is the first time we get one on Adult Swim, I believe. Hell yeah, the Kaio-sama rip off was hilarious enough, then when they had them fighting as parodied Super Saiyans in the "world tournament", that was insane.Chaos Saiyajin wrote:On the subject of DBZ parodies, my favorite would have to be Billy and Mandy's Chicken Ball Z episode. That was classic!
Mandy: "All right, Billy, now I'm gonna show you my full power!!"
Billy: "Bring it on, baby-cakes."
I gotta burn that to my hard-drive sometime, definitely something I wanna keep preserved. Darn, getting off topic. Anyhow, I believe EX has already stated he'll be taping this upcoming Robot Chicken episode to his video capture card, so those folks who live outside North America, keep your fingers crossed he shows you something classic.

I just finished watching the skit on Robot Chicken a few moments ago. I was hoping to laugh, a lot, but alas this episode left me dissapointed. I am not entirely sure why, either, since the program makes me laugh quite a bit on normal terms, and the prospect of them spoofing Z was amusing as-is.
Maybe they tried too hard with that skit... there was so much room for Son Goku's naivete, and it was squandered.

I agree. Now, I'll admit I cracked a smile when the kid was plastered in the sack, because that reminds me of my childhood imagination involving the old Christmas flick "Babes in Toyland" [dear Kami do I hate that movie,] and the prospect of this nutcracker I had when I was 9-10 being self aware, and capable of acting on its own and kicking someone in the balls. Buuuuuut... well, the whole skit was far less amusing than the scenario I just explained, me thinks.Great Saiyaman wrote:I thought it was kinda funny. But nothing over the top like I was expecting.

LOL, well Gohan looked like friggin Kid Goku. That's messed up. When I saw the commercials, I saw 2 Goku's, I was acctually expecting some type of joke on GT where GT Goku comes or something.
Vegito: What do you call a Goku & a Vegeta? Gogeta sounds nice.

Well, I think the main reason why the parody seemed inaccurate to DBZ (Goku not being naive, Gohan looking just like Goku, Gohan's name not being pronounced just quite right) was due to the fact that it's a PARODY. Plain and simple, and I must say I enjoyed it, and also did get a couple laughs out of it. Gohan/28th-Budokai-Goku getting hit in the nads got some laughing out loud instances from me, and I'm glad I taped it. If anyone wants to buy the VHS I taped this on, I'll sell it to ya' for $20 American, no joke.
Hilarious parody, glad I caught it, Son using the spirit bomb on an evil Santa topped everything, and you haven't lived till you've heard Goku get his language "beeped" for saying an F bomb. XDDDDDDDD
By the way, something I find very amusing, Tenkaichi Budokai was actually pronounced more correctly than Atari has been saying it for the "Sparking!" American Ps2 release.
