Ha! I feel bad now. You don't have to apologise.
No offence coming my way, it's just the rules on these forums. Everyone has to follow them.

It wasn't that hard to undertand, just to read, it looked like you could type well, you were just a bit careless.
And yes, it does seem like the Japanese do a better job of cosplay than other countries.

If I walked past this man I would honestly start cracking up in front of him, the look on his face is saying: 'why am I here?'
I feel embarrassed for him.

I've shared these photos with another message board that has nothing to do with Dragonball. They seemed to enjoy them. I hope you'll keep them up for a while, Jerseymilk.
Sheesh! I hope these people don't visit Daizenshuu EX. Maybe they don't care that people make a little fun of them ... or they're use to it.
Are most of these Dragoball fans who go to these anime conventions fans of the dub, or the original show? Maybe you don't know, I was just kind of curious.

Not to be critical, but even if most are just dubbies they are still seeing the same characters. The animation doesn't change, just the dialogue, so even dubbies have no excuse for slaughtering their costumes.
But I would assume that most of them either started with the dub or have at least seen it. There is always going to be some that have only seen one or the other and that's just a given.

If you've seen Japanese girls cosplaying characters from Naruto, you'd know that they're automatically superior to other female cosplayers.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to say fans of the dub are the reason for the bad costumes. I've never been to an anime convention, and I was mostly curious as to what type of people go to these things, or what the ratio was between "dubbies" and the people who the like the original show/s. I guess the question was for experienced people, the ones who go to these things a lot and know the scene.

Do you have a link?? I think I'm becoming obsessed with these Japanese girls in their costumes.

The only Japanese girls I've seen cosplaying Naruto were these two:

Did see a good pic of an American Vegeta cosplayer in an issue of Animerica a few years ago. Though I can't picture myself going as any DBZ character.

That bit about the costumes was supposed to be a joke. I've also never been to a convention so it was not my place to answer then.
Sorry.

Well, you get fans of both subs and dubs at conventions. It really depends on the particular series they might be a fan of. For example, at the convention that's held here in my city, a lot of the Inu-Yasha fans are more familiar with the dub because that's what is broadcast on YTV and that's where most of them watch it. Then you have a series such as Tsubasa Chronicles, that's quite new in Japan and of course isn't available over here yet. So, naturally the fans are fans of the subbed, since besides just raw Japanese, that's the only version there is currently.

Do the Japanese use a word such as "cosplay" ... but in Japanese?
Maybe I could use a Japanese search engine. Although, I have never had much luck looking for things with their search engines ... even when I use a translator.

English stole "cosplay" from the Japanese combination of "Costume" and "Play", "kossupurei" or something like that.

Well I thought out of all of them, the Trunks one was the best. The only thing I saw was the jacket was a little
too short. I remember it being slightly longer then he made it. Otherwise, I thought he almost had it.
Other noteable mentions:
-Ox King
-Chaoutzu (sorry if I spelled that wrong.)
-The Chibi Trunks in this one (so cute!):

-SSJ4 Goku and Vegeta doing Final Flash Kamehameha
Please note that all of these are IMO.

I'm not sure if this has been said before, but...
The reason Japanese cosplayers look better is probably because the shows they are imitating are Japanese and facial features and other stuff like that are more Japanese than American. By the same token, I think it would be much easier for an American to cosplay, for example, Peter Griffin from Family Guy thatn a Japanese person.
