Gee, sure does sound like she's only proud of her husband. It's very easy to just read an article containing only one part of a quote and take it out of context.

Considering she's 48 years old and she's just now proud? 18-48, that sure is a long time to be disappointed in America, especially when people're out there dying in wars for people like her's freedom. But no, she's just magically proud now that her husbands in office? Face it, that is the main reason. Any other reason is lobbying around that proximity.

There's a lot more going on in the country than just wars. Not only that, but I don't recall any time in the past 30 years where this country's freedom's been as stake. All you're doing is just taking one part of a quote and drawing conclusions from it.

Of course there's more than just wars, there's plenty of things out there. America's a great country with problems like the rest. The fact in all of her adulthood she's never been proud of it is sickening. I can take something out of a quote because it still applies with or without the context as I've shown.

When the very next few sentences mentions her grievances with what was going on with the country...don't you think it's best to asses a certain quote with better context?

It doesn't affect the fact she's addressing her entire adulthood, stating it's her first time she's "really proud". Regardless of what's happened to her, because I know of people that've had really rotten things happen to them, it's sickening to think someone can be that cold and disgusting about their views on a country they were never forced to live in. A country where she's had food, water and shelter (in a two story house at that). She's stating that there hasn't been a single time where she's been genuinely proud of her country. I find that to be truly disgusting, there's plenty of reasons to value your country at one time or another, especially over the fucking span of 30 years. Hell you could argue she was four years younger, would that change anything? No. Why would she suddenly feel proud for America for any other reason now, aside from her husband's election? I highly doubt she'd be proud if anyone else were running for president, regardless of their ideas. She even words it so that it's subsequent that Barrack's presidential title comes first, and then his ideas, which are of course, associated with his presidency (which are no worse than Bush's second term ideas, if not worse).
