I was thinking more about Goku's journey on Snake Way. Where he falls into Hell, stops by Princess Snake's place, the extra stuff with Kaiou-sama, and them actually showing Gohan train with Piccolo. If you watch Kai, it's like suddenly one episode Piccolo's like 'hey, I'm training Gohan' and then the next is like 'Gohan, you're trained.' 'Yay Mr. Piccolo we developed a deep relationship between episodes!!!' I think the biggest thing is I feel more for Piccolo's sacrifice with the filler, too.
My favorite movie henchman is Sancho.

I love the Namek filler, the first episodes I saw were the fake Namek ones and I thought they were really cool then and still do. Beyond the filler though I feel the Namek stuff is the most fascinating of the whole series, especially the journey that Vegeta takes from soldier to free agent mercenary to unlikely ally to tragic hero. Just powerful stuff.

Both DragonBox #5, 6, & 7 are now $31.99 over at Amazon. I finally placed my order for the final 2 boxes I needed to finally complete my DBZ Dragon Box set. I just hope Amazon doesn't do a $20 sale later on these sets.

7 was almost 50 bucks. I'm surprised it went down

I had to grab it for $39 or so after tax on December 20th from a third-party seller, and watch the box miss Christmas because of it!

Just like Dragon Ball since Chapter #4.

Has anybody else who ordered off this listing gotten their box yet? It's been over ten days now and I haven't even received shipping confirmation. Not even a message from the seller.
I know this is an old post, but redtagmarket are well known for selling things through ebay and then saying they don't have it in stock later.
Just thought I'd let you guys know, so you don't waste time with them.
They do give refunds, but sometimes it's like talking to a wall when you contact them.

Yeah, I literally just got this message from them a few minutes ago...
Hi,

I’m truly sorry for the trouble with your order.

It has not shipped due to an error in our warehouse. Our stock numbers showed we had the item on hand but there were actually none in the warehouse. As such, we've been attempting to get it daily from our suppliers without success. Our system will automatically refund any unshipped items after a few weeks or you can request a refund at anytime should you no longer wish to wait.

I apologize for the inconvenience our error has caused.
A bit miffed they even put it on eBay without having it in stock, but I'm at least happy that it isn't $86 down the drain.

God dammit!
I guess that most likely explains why I haven't gotten shipping confirmation from them about my copy of box #4.

Between them and moviemars I'm starting to get a little pissed off here  !

Just happened to me. I paid $39 from a third-party seller when I saw it hit $50...and USPS sent it to the incorrect carrier facility... -.-

dbboxkaifan wrote:Why did people wait so long to finally buy them?

If the reason's "I didn't have money back then" or "it was too expensive" then now there's probably no chance with the current prices.

Buying at launch / pre-order would've been a lot cheaper than now.
Just to reiterate, I watched my friend's Hong Kong bootleg Dragon Boxes 5 years ago. I never kept up with what was happening with Dragon Ball DVD releases until I felt like watching DBZ again a couple of months ago. I didn't even know the US Dragon Boxes existed until around the beginning of December. I probably shouldn't have even spent the money I did on them. Considering the highest I paid for a set was $48 for 4 I think I did alright. The $12 for a used copy of 2 was the lowest but since I drove 100 miles to get it I guess you could add my gas expenses which were around $20-25.

Wow, that's still really cheap. I know a lot of people that would kill to pay $25 for Vol.2.

I like it more than the Saiyan arc filler.

The worst is the Red Ribbon Army arc filler.

Well, it kinda slows things down. I love the earth part of the namek filler, like Goku headbutting a freakin' pyramid, but Gohan, Kuririn, and Bulma searching for the "dragonballs" on a fake namek is kind of, unnecessary.

I love the Saiyan arc filler. Ain't it fun how us DBZ fans differ on so many things.
I'm not talking about the Fake Namek filler, I'm talking about the general filler on Namek or Goku's journey to Namek. Fake Namek was unnecessary indeed.
It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.

Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

Seeing all the hassles people are having, it just makes me feel so relieved that I grabbed them up as soon as I had the chance.

I suppose it was easier to spend the money on them at the time because, well, they were dirt cheap to be after buying Season Sets at $60 each!

The Dragon Box... those buggers may have only cost a few hundred dollars in total, but they've cost me a whole lot more (and maybe saved me more than that) by making me sign up to Amazon in the first place.

While I would have loved to get the Dragon Boxes at the time, I got my season sets for $42 each!

Boxes 5-7 are still widely available and will for some time as it doesn't contain everybody's favorite episodes.

Popping in Box 5 and watching the Cell games (And the pre-game filler!) start to finish for the first time since Toonami was one of my best experiences with these sets :)
