All due respect go to both of the movie artists. All of the movies looks fantastic, in my opinion.

I'm okay with Yamamuro's style back then, excluding GT. When done well, the characters looked good. And one thing I also noticed, Goku and the others look older in his style, so maybe it's appropriate in a way. My problem lies mostly with the actual animation, that the fights don't feel as well animated and choreographed as they did in the end of DB and beginning of Z.
I mean, I even find Chichi rushing at Goku to be better animated and more fun to look at then most of Z's fights.

I thought the animation was great in his episodes, especially episode 232. Extremely fluid.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

232 was one of the better ones, I can tell, but there was barely any fightinhg in that and those that were were exactly the kind o unimpressive fights I was talking about. For instance , the short scene between Goten and Krillin sparring are the kind of speed line punching I was referring to.
Also, I don't relly like this particular drawing style. The round and wide faces with huge pupils didn't look that good to me, even if the animation was fluid. :?

I'd agree with that except Movie #6. That looked really inconsistent at times. Sometimes it looked really beautiful- see the background of New Namek and whatnot but sometimes the character designs seemed off.
It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.

Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

I always thought the episode when Trunks fought Cell in the future should have gotten special treatment but instead we got the crappy animation. It looked ridiculous when Cell got thrown in the air and started waving his arms and legs around.

Goten and Krillin sparring? Krillin was still a statue during episode 232.

I know what you mean. Too many lightning-fast flurries can get a bit boring. That's why I love watching the Tournaments in DragonBall. Lots of different techniques in a single match.

That's just how the rotation ended up, really. The following episode was a Masunaga Keisuke-supervised episode then episode #199 was Miyahara Naoki as a special supervisor. Although, I do agree that it's a shame it wound up with Uchiyama/Last House. Since Maeda Minoru had supervised episode #164 and Defiance in the Face of Despair!! The Remaining Super Warriors – Gohan and Trunks it would have been nice if he had gotten the chance to supervise the end of Trunks' story.

I like how consistent the animation seems to be in late DBZ (the Boo arc) and GT. Those are some of my favourites.

I mean we get one badly drawn animated (which still don't look half bad on the Dragon Boxes) and then 3 or so good ones.

Goten and Krillin sparring? Krillin was still a statue during episode 232.
My bad. I had to quickly look it up, because I don't know the episodes by number and I guess I came acorss the old funimation order. The one I found to be 232 was the one where the group were waiting for Trunks to return with the radar.

Yeah, it's good but my initial complain still stands. I still find the earlier fights to look better than most of what Cell and Buu Saga ahve to offer.
