I saw the GH edition at Best Buy yesterday. I laughed at the absurdity of the game's existance, then cried at the thought that it may never be fixed. The damage has been done, but Atari needs to take this shot like a man instead of a whiny baby.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Meh. I forgot to call, but I will tommorow.Blastero wrote:I talked with someone at Atari today, and he said that there was a very small chance of them doing anything. Now with this new info, it looks like B3 GH is officially a simple re-packaging. And I am really not very happy about this.
Edit:
I am unsure of just where the fucking hell to look for the number, so anyone calling their US branch mind dropping me the number so I can complain?

Yep, thats the number. Just a brief update. Just got off the phone with them now, Atari finally got there testing copy in (about time :p) !! They told me once they test it, they will call and/or email me. I reccomend people who have called them before have them do the same for you. Or call back later on today. They'll be open till 6pm pacific (9pm eastern). Once they test it, guess well see what happens from here. :\
Atari's main office is in New York. That explains why he was the first person to get the correct copy.Leotaku wrote:Through investigation of his deviantART page, he's apparently in Ovid, New York.Akira wrote:Where do you live and where did you purchase a correct copy from?
Of course, I don't know where he bought it.

I just got a slim-sized Playstation 2 for Christmas, so I hope we can find out the distinguishing feature of the real Greatest Hits version so I can pick it up.
Izlude, maybe you could provide scans of your box's back and front (or a proper description of it)? Hopefully by comparison to everyone else's faulty copies we can reveal something that tips us off.

Unlikely. Atari's being quiet about this. They're not likely to mark the new copies any differently than the old. You'll just have to buy it and hope it's the right version, if not, return it and get a new copy.

<Kaboom> Neither does Rita
<Xyex> Good point.

Hmm...I live in Geneva, New York and Ovid is about 30-40 minutes away from me. Maybe I'll check out some local stores.Leotaku wrote:Through investigation of his deviantART page, he's apparently in Ovid, New York.Akira wrote:Where do you live and where did you purchase a correct copy from?

Actually Gotenx, the Atari main office is somewhere in France. Infogrames is the corperation, Atari is the publication label.gotenx wrote:Atari's main office is in New York. That explains why he was the first person to get the correct copy.
Their main headquarters. The other locations are merely branches, subsidiaries, and development studios outside of France.Atari Website wrote: International Headquarters

I read in a book called "Who Knew?" by David Hoffman that Atari is based in Northern-California.
It also states that they chose the name Atari so that people would think they were Japanese.
And it also states that if you hook Jell-O up to an EEG, it will register movements virtually identical to the brain waves of a healthy adult.

Best. Slip 'n' slide. EVER!

Partially correct. The "original" Atari, that capsized in the 80's, after suffering a huge defeat to Nintendo a short period before the Super Nintendo/Super Famicom was released, was based out of California. However this "Atari" merely took the name as a mantle piece. They were originally the French company "Infogrames" which is now merely a corperate identity.t-bone135 wrote:I read in a book called "Who Knew?" by David Hoffman that Atari is based in Northern-California.![]()

Budokai 3 Greatest Hits
Can anyone who purchased a copy of the game that is the "correct" version with the additional features confirm if the disc art matches the boxart of the Greatest Hits package art or the Original Budokai 3 artwork? That may make identifying a correct copy easier.
Has anyone else purchased the game to find that they have the correct version with the extra costumes / Japanese voices? I saw about 25 or so copies at Wal*Mart today, but was very hesitant to purchase after all the negative information surfacing about those copies on the internet.

Re: Budokai 3 Greatest Hits
There is no "correct" version. They're all bad. The closest thing to a "correct" version would be the Collector's Edition that came out in Europe.Akira wrote:Can anyone who purchased a copy of the game that is the "correct" version with the additional features confirm if the disc art matches the boxart of the Greatest Hits package art or the Original Budokai 3 artwork?
