Yeah, the first four volumes have a few minor dings along the edges from the usual wear and tear of being rearranged on a bookshelf a few times over the course of many months, but nothing I'm too concerned about.
I will look for the old GT singles set on eBay.

Yeah, you could get it for 25$ on Yahoo Auctions Japan, but the middle man service and the shipping is the real killer.Beji wrote: So jealous about the middle one :/ cant seem to find that dvd for under 25$. In fact, I cant seem to find it many places at all ><
Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?
Yeah I meant it shipped and all since that's a little more than how much the special selection and bardock special ended up costing me. I always feel weird paying so much more if its just one special I was hoping it would eventually appear on US ebay for a decent price.

Not exactly a "purchase", but...

(the DVD and the cover are inside the magazine, so you need to take them both out and stick them in an empty case; I tossed in the Bardock card to make the inside a little less sparse)

Thank you kei17, you beautiful, beautiful man.

Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?
That's awesome, Tori!
Though, I miss the "Z" logo in all those Dragon Ball DVD's, I know in Japan the manga was always just "Dragon Ball" but still the original DB anime series didn't have these Super Saiyan or Hatchiyack characters.
Still waiting for FUNi's release.
Anyway, Toei could turn Dragon Ball SD into an anime series, it's DB/Z and everyone has seen it like 8000 times, but with new animation, music, faster story and whatnot it'd be lovely to watch all over again.

That went for a lot O.o pretty much paying for the scouter at that point. Does the scouter really make it worth 200$ more?
Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?
Jesus! That's a lot. I paid 250 after shipping with YJ and it included the scouters.Corporate_Nothing wrote:Alright, alright, fess up. Which one of you guys outbid me by $5 with five seconds left?

Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?
Copied my post over from another thread -
Dragon Ball GT: Season One
Dragon Ball GT: Season Two
Dragon Ball: Season One
Dragon Ball: Season Two
Dragon Ball: Season Three
Dragon Ball: Season Four
Dragon Ball: Season Five
Dragon Ball: Complete Collection Movie 4 Pack
DBZ BD Double Feature - Dead Zone/The World's Strongest
DBZ BD Double Feature - Tree of Might/Lord Slug
DBZ BD Double Feature - Cooler's Revenge/Return of Cooler
DBZ BD Double Feature - Super Android 13!/Bojack Unbound
DBZ BD - Broly Triple Feature
DBZ BD Double Feature - Fusion Reborn/Wrath of the Dragon
DBZ BD Double Feature - This History of Trunks/Bardock
Dragon Ball Z Kai - Season One
Dragon Ball Z Kai - Part Five
Dragon Ball Z Kai - Part Six
Dragon Ball Z Kai - Part Seven
Dragon Ball Z - Level 1.1
Dragon Ball Z - Level 1.2
lol, total = $443.22 for everything. $296.11 without the Blu-Ray double features. I might hold off on those in the possibility of an American Dragon Box: The Movies release. Blu-Ray is nice, sure, but I don't need to double-dip just yet. $188.14 without the Z Kai releases. Might hold off on those, too, because I don't really care to own them other than for the sake of being a completionist.
Also, I'm going to use this post to list all of my possible upcoming purchases over the next six months, now that I've finished the Z Dragon Boxes.Corporate_Nothing wrote:Went ahead and ordered DB, Vol. 1-5 and DBZ, Vol. 1-9 on Amazon earlier. This will be my first time reading the manga all the way through and/or actually owning all of it. I used to own the first seven or so volumes of the less-censored tankoubon-style releases for Dragon Ball, and the first three for DBZ, but I sold them at a yard sell.
I <3 Amazon Store Card and Amazon Prime.

You'd be better to wait for all four season sets than buying Parts 5-7 if you don't even have Parts 1-4 to complete it. Just my imo.

All four season sets? I get that five/sex would be compiled into Season Two, but I thought Part Seven would be the final release in the series. You'd be better to wait for all four season sets than buying Parts 5-7 if you don't even have Parts 1-4 to complete it. Just my imo.

Re: What's your most recent Dragonball purchase?
Each set features 26 episodes, 4 discs, so it's like this:Corporate_Nothing wrote:All four season sets? I get that five/sex would be compiled into Season Two, but I thought Part Seven would be the final release in the series.
Season One (01-26)
Season Two (27-52)
Season Three (53-78)
Season Four (79-98)
FUNimation has said Season Two (27-52) is planned to be released, but the "proper" Season One (01-26) still nothing been said. Normally it'd cost around $25-$30 but the current one on Amazon reaches $45.
