I was half-joking. But I don't think that they're too big. And besides, many 16-year-olds can pass for fully-grown adults. That's why you get so many cases of adults being arrested on charges of having sex with a minor, when the minor in question misled them into thinking that they were an adult.dprez wrote:Not for me. There is a point where it's just ridiculous and ugly. Those there of that Bulma drawing are just about perfect. Haha! So true. I had friends in highschool dating guys in their thirties because they could pass as twenty-something year old.Piccolo Daimao wrote:I was half-joking. Yeah, same here. I mean, I don't know anyone that has managed to date thirty-year-olds, but I know a couple of people that have gone out with twenty-year-olds. It definitely happens.Scarz wrote:Haha! Are you asking because you think I'm a feminist or something? Dude, trust me, I love tits just as much as you and every other guy here on this forum.
I really do adore these "western-ized" drawings Scarz, very interesting project. Hoping to see more of these soon!

Yea that's true. My 23 year old cousin dated a 15 year old in highschoolPiccolo Daimao wrote:

But the way Bulma was built when she was introduced, those boobs are a wee bit too big
More drawings of Dragon Ball females would be nice Scarz.
Re: Fan Works Explosion
I quickly sketched out Lunch tonight and hopefully I'll get around to drawing two more DB women this weekend. Once I'm done with those I'll stat coloring.

Re: Fan Works Explosion
Stop waving those guns around before you put somebody's eye out, Lunch.

I'd actually kinda like to see your take on some of the villains. Kid Buu and 1st form Frieza seem like they'd look awesome in your style

Re: Fan Works Explosion
Very nice, Scarz! I'm really enjoying this "series". My favourite so far is Lunch.
Gonna second Rocket and ask for Vegetto next.
The picture of Bulma showering reminds me I have a bunch pin-up sketches of DB girls laying about. I should finsh them ... meh.

Lunch looks absolutely...sublime. I really admire your work. My favourite so far is Lunch too, and I'm eager to see the coloured versions.
I also think that Freeza, especially his first-form, would look great in your style.

For some reason I didn't see this comment.dprez wrote:Lovely...I wish I could draw like that.
Anyway, I don't know if you actually draw or not, but if so, I have some tips that've been useful to me. The thing that REALLY helps me is going to life drawing classes. It helps to "train" your eye to draw what you're actually seeing rather whan what you think you see. Plus, it obviously helps to teach you anatomy.
Doing drawings of objects around your house also helps to.
Art is like a muscle - the more you do it the more you make your skills stronger, personally I try to draw every day for a few hours.
I'm a beginner artist myself, I've been drawing for about 8 months or so and while I still have a huge amount of stuff to learn, what I listed really helped me.
But, uh, if you don't draw, just ignore this comment. :V
Re: Fan Works Explosion
As is playing guitar, which I am currently practicing every day. It all has to do with muscle memory. I need to really assert myself to practice drawing. It might also help to take some classes at my local community college, which I started when I was 17 after I got my GED, but never followed through with it and quit...StarRot wrote:For some reason I didn't see this comment.dprez wrote:Lovely...I wish I could draw like that.

Every now and then I'll flip through some random manga I own and draw a characters profile, which is really the only thing I can draw well. Luffy and Goku are faces I can draw pretty well, but It takes me like an hour to get it perfect. This is why I have so much respect for great guitar players and great artists. It's a skill that takes a lot of determination and patience to master. I've thought to myself many times, that I can enjoy other people's work all I want, and that's great and all, but I'd like to create something my self for a change. I just need to buckle down and acquire that "technique" and "skill" that only practice can grant.

Re: Fan Works Explosion
Yeah, I'm looking for general art classes to go to also, rather than just life drawing classes.
It can be difficult to buckle down and practice drawing at times, but think of the end result; becoming a better artist. It makes the occational frustrations worth it.
Good luck!

Re: Fan Works Explosion
Speaking from experience, yes go to art classes. When I say I speak from experience, I mean I'm someone who dropped art class becuase I gor bored of having to draw things that I found boring. Chairs, oranges, bricks. Big mistake. Now I'm struggeling to make up for those lost years I spent drawing only what I liked and found interesting and neglected a lot of others things.
It's not completely essential, one of the most amazing artist I admire is self taught, but I do believe it help in most cases a great deal.
Scarz, that Luch is really cute.

Scarz, stop drawing beautiful women.
And by that, I mean keep drawing more.

Completely Original, but I tried to draw him like Tate Naoki would from the anime series. What do you think so far?

It's true to his style. Unlike most of you, I try to draw DBZ stuff like it is in the Jr arc or Saiyan arc. I love Aoshima Katsumi's art and I try to emulate how he styles the characters.
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

Re: Fan Works Explosion
Can someone render a picture of 1st form Freeza wearing a black buisness suit and tie, carrying a briefcase and looking at a wrist watch as though he's impatiently waiting for an elevator ride to end?
