Your favorite movie (poll)

I have been on these forums for quite a while now and I have never seen anyone conduct a poll for the best and most liked Dragon Ball Movie. Well here it is. I will keep track of everyone's votes in this first post. In a couple weeks I will stop counting votes and we will determine daizex forum's overall best and favorite movie. Here are the choices (I'm using the dub titles for most of the movies because that's what most people are familiar with. I am including some OVA's in this as well. I have decided not to include the Dragon Ball public service videos because those are educational films and no one would vote for them anyway.

I believe that's all of them. I REALLY wanted to include Atsumare! Goku's World but I think it sorta falls into the same category as the Dragon Ball Public service videos. The original Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans made the cut though because it more or less is a full length movie and is almost 1 hour long.

As for my vote, it's going to Bojack Unbound. Here's some reasons why.

+ A great plot
+ The movie revolves around a Tenkaichi Tournament
+ One of the only movies where Goku is not the main protagonist
+ Bojack is a great villain
+ The match between Tenshinhan and Future Trunks is awesome, even though it's short.
+ Gohan gets to be the main protagonist of a movie
+ Gohan's transformation into a Super Saiyan 2 is awesome
+ I really enjoy the fights at the end of the movie
+ One of the only movies I can come back and watch constantly and not get tired of.

So yeah there's my vote. Everyone else give yours now and I will keep track of the votes. Will probably stop counting votes at the end of February.

I would say we should play a "Hurt and Heal" game with the movies, but I'm not sure such games are tolerated here. I haven't seen any kind of precedent before, establishing them being either accepted, or not accepted.

...Seven of those aren't even movies. Anyway, my favourite movie...is Dragon Ball: Ultimate Edition, a.k.a 'The Magic Begins'.

I always preferred the first three DBZ movies, Dead Zone, The World's Strongest, and The Tree of Might. Before we see all the super saiyans fighting together and getting their asses kicked, the first three are set in those simple early days where Goku and Piccolo are the top dogs. I like Super Android 13 also. It's been so long since I've seen any of the movies...still waiting for that Movie Dragon Box.

Please only pick one movie guys. I respect people's opinions but please keep the live action movies out of this guys. You can also pick one movie and change your vote later if you want to. I've been thinking about changing mine to Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans.

My favourite movie is probably DBZ Movie #12, mainly because of its exploration into Hell, Janemba, Gokuu and Vegeta teaming up again, and Gogeta.

For me it would be Cooler's Revenge.

Wrath of The Dragon , there is no way in hell that any of the other movies set in he Z universe can even come close, Wrath of the Dragon was the only DBZ movie which actually had a plot and heart. All the other movies were pretty straight forward and used the same formula's which I do not wish to repeat.
Path to Power comes a close second for the same reasons, though I have not really seen the other 3 dragonball movies.

Dead Zone. Nostalgia, being the deciding factor. I can't say I feel too passionately about any of the movies in the Dragon Ball franchise, one way or another.

Since you included the TV specials in the list, my vote goes to The History of Trunks.

My favorite is definitely DBZ Movie 12 ("Fusion Reborn"). It's not often you see something that's so chock-full of action, but is also ripe with comedy and doesn't take itself too seriously. On top of it all, Gogeta is almost as awesome as Vegetto.

Runners up would be DB Movie ("Mystical Adventure") for I think doing the whole "retelling" thing the best out of all 4 DB movies (also gotta love Arale), and DBZ Movies 1 and 13 for both being so plot-centric and also both looking really good in their own ways.

Both the TV specials are great as well, especially Bardock's, but they don't entirely count as movies.
