Post by Great Saiyaman » Sat Dec 31, 2005 3:31 am

I just unlocked Bojack & they call him Bojack (Post Transformation).....so is there one of him before his transformation?

Nope! I wish it did though, the transformed Bojack is a real son of a bitch in story mode.
I really, really need to get back into the habit of posting.

Bojack in Z Battle Gate wasn't exactly easy, but I defeated him the first time, possibly just by luck. I had just a sliver of health left. The part I'm focused on now is SS2 Vegeta vs. Kid Boo... I had a freakin' tough time with SS3 Gokuu versus him, even after putting on a bunch of potaras on him. With Vegeta, you've not unlocked his SS2 form at that point, so you can't put on potaras, and you have to survive longer than with Gokuu... such a pain.

But anyway, yeah. I like Bojack's transformation better, even though I don't like Bojack at all. It would have been nice to have his previous form as well, for completist's sakes.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Really? Strangely, he was quite easy with SSJ2 Gohan. The only difficulty was that energy tug of war.

Wow, you must be a good player then. It took me a while, my stratagy was, keep blocking & then he'll lay off the offense, but instead of physical attacks, use small chi blasts, then he'll back off, giving me time to charge up for bigger chi.

Apparently, you didn't read my little post in the "DBZ Christmas related Peresents" thread, as I supplied tha absolute best, fire-proof way to survive against Kid Buu in all 4 of his survival battles in Z Battle Gate. Remember that I was the one to discover this, and it's been proven to work as evidenced by myself, B-kun, and Chaos Saiyajin. Use this secret for good, not evil. :P
Be sure to take my advice on this, as this is the absolute best way I know of to survive against Kid Buu in his survival battles. When playing as SSJ3 Goku, SSJ2 Vegeta, Mr. Satan, and Mr. Buu as well, always make sure to get right up into Kid Buu's face, maybe land a few hits that'll knock him to the ground, then charge back to him and just keep your finger on the O (Gaurd) button for the rest of the duel. Trust me, Kid Buu's AI is very repetitve in these duels and if you're blocking the whole time right next to him, he'll just keep doing normal hits (and don't worry about his shock-wave attempt at the end of his hitting combo, as it'll have no effect if you've been blocking the whole time). Just do that little juubaggish manuever I came up with, and you'll breeze through the Kid Buu survival battles in no time, and be set to repeat history with Son's Genki-dama. Good luck, and consider this a Christmas present from SSJ Conan.

It took me five or six tries to take down Bojack, because every time I got him in the red health bar, he went all psycho on me and beat the living fuck outta me!

Potaras? You mean Evolution Z/Custom? I don't think you can customize your characters in the Battle Gate at all though.

 Hahaha, I don't know how many times It would come to that with me too. I don't own BT, but the same thing occured almost all the time in Budokai 3 when I would, for the most part be dominating the fight. That just proves you can't ever let your guard down, always expect the unexpected.

Leo is indeed correct. It doesn't matter what Potara's you put onto the characters, they don't affect a thing in story mode. Potara's are all pre-set for story mode, giving you what the designers wanted you to have.

Thanks for the advice, but I completed the game last night 8) Five minutes before the new year, to be precise. Anyway, no matter how long I'm blocking, the CPU's shockwave thing ALWAYS breaks my block and stuns me. That's what got my ass fried in the Kid Boo fights. To beat him, though, I just used a modified version of the strategy I used on Oozaru Vegeta.

Then, why is it after putting the Potaras on my character, they were always faster, stronger, et cetera, than before?

That was the same with me. I can't block the whole way through, that's why I didn't get why everyone else got it to work. The computer would always break my guard with that.
No matter though, I beat the Battle Gates a few days ago. I'm playing in Ultimate Battle now.

Are you sure that's in the Battle Gates? They don't even give you an option to use Evolution Z / Custom there, unless you're going out of Battle Gate mode, putting Potaras on, then going back in. But even then, they don't give you a Custom character selection.

This kinda reminds me of how people were asking if Custom characters work in Ultimate Battle. I think they only work in Practice though, not the 100 Warrior ranking. :(

I have a feeling that Pre-Transformation Bojack was going to be included in the game at one time. I mean, why bother putting "Post Transformation" on Bojack when they didn't for Broly, Cooler, or Janemba.

I think Sparking! ended up being released before all of its planned components were implemented. Much like Budokai 3.

They weren't. You may have thought they were, but they weren't. Battle Gate Gotenks has Homing +2 equiped, it's easy to notice. And normal Gotenks doesn't have Homing +2. That's the first indicator I noticed. So I tested some things. 100% of the time, nothing I added had any effect on the match. The characters in Battle Gate have Pre-set Potaras.

Custom's work fine in Ultimate Battle. I use them all the time. You'll note on the Vs. screen it displays the Life and Ki levels of the characters. I've also noted the effects of the Homing + Potaras, Hi-Tension, and others. Where as the same Potaras have no effect in Battle Gate. So yes, custom characters work in Ultimate Battle.

Are you sure? I couldn't get them to work. I know that the values (for like the health or Ki) will raise, but I don't see the effects. And the easiest one to notice would be the Fighting Spirit Elevation Potara. When I equip it in other modes, my starting Ki is at maximum, but in Ultimate Battle, it's the same as if I didn't equip it. So I figured they don't work.
I've only gotten them to work in the Practice area of Ultimate Battle, but not the ranking mode.
