Great page, with Freeza's actually appropriate derpface in panel 3 (because Nail was smashing him into the mountain). But Jesus, it didn't take long for Freeza to decide that Nail was too strong for him and bust out his true form.

His arms stretch and he even grows into a giant.
Just by being able to regenerate his body's structure, he can even alter his body's volume. In particular Piccolo can transform the structure of his arms to make them stretch as well as enlarge his body, powers he inherited from the Demon Clan.

Crazy theory for the main story: Piccolo is there, but not as a contestant... maybe when the big bad shows its head, Piccolo will decide he should to join with Gast, to help him fight.

Seriously, though. As long as they're actually informative the specials aren't so bad. It's mostly the "villain wins" specials that fall flat because they never actually say much that we couldn't easily infer ourselves. It's why I'm hoping the U8 special is more than just Freeza overpowering Goku. It'd be much more interesting to see one small change early on create a ripple effect that leads to Freeza's victory. Something like maybe Vegeta dying on Earth which results in drastically different events on Namek.

Which wouldn't require much of a change really, considering Goku would have just had to have passed out, which he seemed pretty close to doing.
