Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
Android #17 and #18 (from the future) vs. Super Saiyan Vegeta, Piccolo, Son Gohan, Kuririn, Tenshinhan, Yamcha & Chaozu from Android arc.
So basically, the Androids take on the same Z-Fighters they killed (initially only defeated, in Gohans case) but this time the Z-Senshi had the 3 years to prepare. Who takes it?

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
Kuririn and the others won't make any difference, it's all up to Vegeta and Piccolo.
I suppose Vegeta stand a chance against the Androids from the future, if not stronger. However Piccolo would still not be on their level. So altogheder the two Androids would defeat Vegeta and Piccolo.

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
Throw a healed Goku and Trunks into the mix, these cyborgs likely loses. Otherwise Tien, with the others going to distract, could probably still one-shot even the more powerful ones we see them fight (but then Cell wouldn't have anything to absorb).
Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
Yeah, the heroes would need one more Super Saiyan-level person to win this. Trunks or Goku, but they'd be better off with Goku. Piccolo's not too far behind them, but before merging with Kami he's not close enough to make a difference against 17 and 18.
Put BOTH remaining Super Saiyans into the mix, and they might be able to do something about 16, too. Much slimmer chance with that, though.

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
Only Vegeta could keep up with the present Androids, and maybe he's even slightly stronger than the weaker future Androids. But without another Super Saiyan-level warrior, he'd fall to their infinite energy and subsequently be crushed along with the others. In Brightest Day wrote:Android #17 and #18 (from the future) vs. Super Saiyan Vegeta, Piccolo, Son Gohan, Kuririn, Tenshinhan, Yamcha & Chaozu from Android arc.
Unless they're not all immediately knocked out and Vegeta manages to stall both of them, so that Kuririn can use his Kienzan and/or Tenshinhan can use his Shin Kikouhou (if he mastered it before the fight with the Androids). If they can't dodge, they're finished.

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
I don't believe the pre-rosat Super Saiyans are quite capable of taking the Future Androids, but I could see Vegeta putting up a good fight. I think the Androids would take him out eventually, then the others would go down even quicker.

And later, Daizenshuu says that Trunks is stronger than #18. So, according to Daizenshuu:hleV wrote:Daizenshuu does.Piccolo Daimao wrote:nothing at all suggests that Goten is on par with Gohan

Gohan was worlds stronger than #18 in Cell arc, and Gohan most definitely didn't get THAT weak after 7 years.

Are you refering to Vegeta/Trunks/Goku/Gohan, or Goten/Trunks?Mystic Gohan wrote:I don't see androids losing to pre rosat ssj's imo.

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
Vegeta needs Goku and Trunks to win this. Piccolo and the rest are too weak to help. The future androids are beatable by the Ssj trio imo.
Trunks felt how much stronger his dad was than him, and he was most likely capable of going one-on-one with the androids (at least 18) in his time. He later realizes that these androids were stronger than his, since his father, being so strong, couldn't do a thing to 18, where in his time he stated he could hold his own, but never win because there were two of them.

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
Well, we have some quite conflicting information about the Androids in the future. This is what Trunks first said:
Trunks “Yes…I’ve stood against them, but unfortunately…In any case, I’m up against two of them…Even fighting one-on-one, I could barely manage to escape…”
Trunks: “I-I was able to become a Super Saiyan too…B-but, I was absolutely no match for them…They’re stupendously strong…”
Trunks: “You were right… The gap between me and the androids was still huge…I think I’m lucky to have returned alive…”
This is what Trunks said after the fight with Vegeta:
Trunks: “They weren’t as outrageously strong as this…Even I could fight them fairly well…”
Trunks: “Wh-why has history changed this much?...The an-androids’ power wasn’t on so much of a different level…And there were only 2 of them…”
It could be argued that this is because Trunks trained in these 8 months and got stronger. However based on the EXTRA chapter it is very unlikely Trunks would fight these Androids again, and the way Trunks talk about the Androids' strength is of actually fighting them, not just an estimative of their strength. So even if Trunks is stronger now, that's not what he is talking about.
I suppose the interpretation of these lines is subjective and doesn't necessairly contradict each other. Basically the Androids are super strong, much stronger than Trunks, but he still can put a fight against them, while he was K.O. in an instant by the Androids of the present.
About Vegeta, Trunks says his power is on par with the stronger No.18 of the present:
Trunks: “Am-amazing! I hadn’t realized that father was this strong…! To think that he’s able to fight on par with that outrageous android…!”
Piccolo: “Vegeta’s going to be killed…[ ] Watch…Bit by bit, the android is starting to push him back. It’s because his enemy’s power never falls at all, while Vegeta’s stamina falls the more he moves.”
Even if No.18 wasn't using all of her strength, the power she used on the fight was enough for Trunks to say these Androids are stronger than the ones of his time, so I guess Vegeta is stronger than the Androids of the future?

Trunks didn't know the present cyborgs were stronger than the ones in his time when he makes this statement though.Fox666 wrote:Trunks: “Am-amazing! I hadn’t realized that father was this strong…! To think that he’s able to fight on par with that outrageous android…!”

Trunks only mentions it after he himself has fought with the present ones.
Personally I think Vegeta is only very slightly weaker than a single future cyborg. Give him Goku and Trunks, and I think all three would dispatch of both future cyborgs with low-moderate difficulties.

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
I think Trunks is mistaken and believes he's been fighting the future Androids at full power, when they've only been toying with him like they did Gohan.
So it'd go exactly the same as the fight we saw, except a couple extra seconds to cut Gohan down.

Well, I guess you could make some sense out of that, so Vegeta would be as strong as the No.18 of the future?lash wrote:Trunks didn't know the present cyborgs were stronger than the ones in his time when he makes this statement though.

Oh, does it now? Proof please? Because I really don't recall any statements stating Goten being on par with Gohan or #18.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:And later, Daizenshuu says that Trunks is stronger than #18. The Daizenshuu somewhere says that Goten is equal to Gohan, and that Trunks is stronger than #18, from what people here say. I don't know where exactly it says it. I also disagree that Gohan = Goten.Perfect wrote:Oh, does it now? Proof please? Because I really don't recall any statements stating Goten being on par with Gohan or #18.

Well if either entry is true, I'd love for someone to quote them in their entirety.

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
From the Growing Up section of Daizenshuu #2
Dunno where the Trunks one is.SON GOTEN
A gifted child who mastered Super Saiyan at a young age.
By virtue of being Goku's son, Goten posses battle power not the least bit inferior to even Gohan. On top of being able to unleash a startling amount of power in even his normal state, he can easily transform into a Super Saiyan. Furthermore, he merges with Trunks through a technique known as Fusion.

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
That could easily be taken as Goten's just really strong for his age and even makes Gohan have a run for his money. Plus if Vegeta can take withstand x300 gravity in the Cell arc and Trunks who's stronger than Goten struggles in x150 gravity, well you do the math. Gohan would have to have become significantly weaker, to the point of actually being weaker than #18 outside of SSJ2.

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
Personally, even with that entry, I never believed Goten was on the same level as Gohan.
