 at Gast casually sitting down to meditate during his fight with Freeza. I wonder what he's going to do.

Gast is entering sage mode.

Also I'm not a fan of this special. a lot of time has been wasted on this freeza fight. i just hope we get a sequel showing gast vs cell. thats the problem with these specials. they show only what we already know, and drag that the fuck out.

Yeah, it's as bad as the anime in that regard. I just wish that they'd get back to the main story.

Freeza should know the fighting rule by now: If they're meditating, they're already prepared for you. Ryu learned it ages ago:

These are from Udon's excellent SF2 comic, which I recommend for everyone here since they're into fighting manga.

Avatar mode? I'm pretty sure Gast is going to kill Freeza in one attack in the next page then they will finish the special with Gast killing Vegeta. People on the DBM comment page saying that this special is hit or miss, I'm not sure they will do a Part 2 with Gast fighting Cell and Buu?

So Gast has some kind of power to freeze people in place? Didn't see that coming, that'll be interesting to see later on.

Maybe that's how he stops Cell and Boo from regenerating. It'd feel kinda cheap to me, at first anyways.

Like Blue from he Red Ribbon Army.
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

It probably helps, at least with Boo, who's regeneration capability is INSANE. And yeah, it's hardly the first time we've seen that kind of ability in DB, but I wonder how it came out randomly now. I would think it'd be something he got from the Grand Elder maybe, but he didn't use it until now...so I dunno.

He has merged with everyone already, and almost everyone should be Dragon Clan members. Gast now can pop up whatever ability Salagir wants.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

True. Maybe I'm just nitpicking about how it comes out of nowhere like this. I mean this is still one of the better specials they've done IMO, so I should be happy with what I can get heh.

Guldo could do that, too.

That was cool. Gast has that Kaioshin ability now. Now that I remember Blue did do that to Goku, and Guldo was just some alien freak. A gifted telekinetic human like Blue could never do that to someone as powerful as Freeza, and even Guldo would get speed blitzed or killed with ease before he could do this to Freeza, if he even could considering their power difference.

At this point in the series, paralysis isn't that much of a surprising ability. As aforementioned, Blue could do it, Gurd could do it, Kaioushin could do it. Gast is a Namekian, who alone has tons of mysterious abilities, but has now merged with all the remaining Namekians on the planet, many of whom likely being Dragon Clan members.

I don't see how it "came out randomly now". He didn't use it until now because he didn't need to with Freeza's previous forms, whom he was easily overwhelming. Freeza's true form is closer to his power now, and he was about to destroy the planet, so Gast thought it'd be best to prevent him from doing so by paralyzing and then quickly destroying him.

Bulma face look little strange, but, overall, another good page, Nameks can hear from long distance, so i guess, that Gast heared Vegeta and Cui.
