How to get rid of Dragon Ball Hoshi

Post by Beji » Mon Feb 27, 2012 11:41 pm

I know there has been much talk of it before but isn't there any way to shed light onto people that Dragon Ball Hoshi isn't real? I was fine with it before when it had massive dislikes and only a few views but now people unaware of where these clips originate from are eating it up and some videos are far surpassing likes than dislikes.

I don't know if they are making a profit off of these videos but is there any way of taking them down? Doesn't it count as false advertisement of something? It really bothers me that anytime you want to tell people where the clips are really from the comments have to pend acceptance first. And then they don't let you post them because they are TRUE.

I don't think this topic is off topic because though I know a few people on here would tell me to turn a blind eye and have people believe what they want to believe but it's just so bothersome that you can't even tell those people what it really is. The comments are filtered to be of only positive things or questions that leads to even more people believing it is real. Isn't anyone else annoyed(pissed off) by this?

It doesn't really piss me off but it is annoying. and that's so true about the good comments saying ''OMG HOSHI IS BEAST'' and they won't allow the truth to be told but I'm afraid it's impossible to stop stuff like this unless people do there own research! as for getting them for false advertisement, They're not exactly selling you something so there's not much you can do. it's just some knuckleheads messing around on the internet making people believe in something that just doesn't exist. you just gotta pray they make their way to Daizenshuu EX and learn the truth. :)

Keep one thing in mind, people believe in Hoshi because they want to believe in Hoshi.

I guess it wouldn't harm if everyone in this community flagged as spam the YouTube videos/accounts of this Dragon Ball Horseshit.

I hope so but since a lot of their uploader comments are "subscribe for more!" and stuff like that I thought there would be the possibility of them getting money for uploading these and falsely marking them. Which would be the icing on the cake for me if they convinced the masses, of a fake show, by filtering comments, and uploading whatever new animations they can find.

I feel like some people want to believe in Hoshi but others are legitimately unaware. Flagging it could work I thought the only thing to do would literally be somehow flagging/removing all their videos and reuploading them with the real names and such probably with a title that starts with NOT HOSHI.

I'm not trying play moderator or sound rude, but if we start flagging a-lot of their channels who's to say that they won't just start spamming Daizenshuu? no one really can't say ''well how are they going to know it was us?'' there was topic created here about hoshi and we have people threatening to spam their channels. I'm not trying to kill the mood we all hate the fact that people do this stuff but there is no need of asking for trouble.

I don't know how this whole Hoshi thing started? I guess is that some fan edited the wikipedia and all of the younger fans thought it was real?

Hoshi is just an evolution of AF, only it's much more worse in terms of people believing whether it's real or not.

How do you get rid of Dragon Ball Hoshi? How about, don't make a thread about it?

There were rumors floating around about AF in the 90's. It's now 2012 and some people still believe that AF is real. I think that answers the question about Hoshi =P

TIP: Don't read YouTube comments. It helps...A LOT, and not just with getting over the 'Hoshi' bullshit either.

I've actually seen a lot less of "Hoshi" lately... and I never saw much in the first place.

The only reason I watch the Hoshi vids is because that darn 'Dragonball Heroes' song is so darn catchy!
 :D
It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.

Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

You could claim a fake copyright claim, I wouldn't dare but may be safe.

Whenever a YouTuber chooses to get rid of a copyright strike by Toei, it's removed within 13-14 days.

They're too many Dragon Ball Horsecrap videos and just not worth the time.

You clearly haven't got serious problems in life but have too much free time that you could use for more useful things. If someone wants to believe and others have fun by providing the source to dream, why you should care? That isn't dangerous cult, fake professors spreading false accusations against vaccines, they don't even sell anything (IIRC youtube don't pay per views) that's just a cartoon. If Dragon Ball AF were a person he would be old enough to buy alcohol. People in many fandoms do fake trailers some people believe them and nobody laments about that.

Edit: As it was written people want and do believe in such jokes because they want to. April Fool's Dragon Ball AF review. In 2006 it doubled monthly visitors count for the site, 300 people claimed they had seen and it had one of the best ratings in service even if day after it was officially named joke. It was re-established due to sentimental reasons and in spite of English disclaimer people still ask where to get it.
Edit2: On that day reviews of "Slayers Return Again", "Inuyasha Las Chapter" and "Berserk- Hand of the God" movie were added. Maybe some people had a gift of foresight this day and

The only reason I would put a thread up on it on here is because I know the community already knows about it and knows it isnt real. The likes and comments arent going to grow by me asking if anyone else is bothered and/or aware of whats happening Doing something like making a video saying it isn't on youtube would only put more attention towards it for people who are unaware.

One of the people I said would tell me to turn a blind eye, but thanks for the "use my free time for more useful things". Me typing that wasted a whole 5 minutes of my life that ill never get back....should use that time to make fanfiction or something. ya' know, useful things.

*EDIT/adding a bit* point being everyone chooses to do what they want with their free time and a single thread topic should not automatically call for one person telling someone else they have too much free time and should move ti to something else..

Every time I write post in English I practice my second language, so there's no time wasted in my case. I don't also treat it as a cruciate.

Am I the only one who find the idea of false copyright claim used in that case as below my standards?

Especially since you're making a legal claim and can be brought to court over false copyright accusations.

Definitely not the right way to go about it, regardless of how you feel about the moral high ground.
