My Dragonball short story

Post by songohan619 » Thu Feb 23, 2012 7:09 am

This is a story i wrote for homework some year ago.
I thought i could post it here.
Please note that not all details are exactly like in DragonBall, it is rather my version of the story:

Also, sorry for any typos.

Goku`s Journey

Our story starts far away from the high-tech cities and 8-file highways. We are going to an ancient forest, where no man has ever been. Well, almost no man. If you look for a long time, you might be able to see a small house in the middle of the forest. Inside it lives a boy named Goku.

Goku has lived there for as long as he can remember. He is quite small for his age, but is exceptionally strong. He has trained martial arts for as long as he can remember, and is very skilled.

The house that he lived in was a one room house, and Goku`s only property was a two floor bed and a red closet, which

But, soon there would come a day that changed his life.

This day was Goku`s 11th birthday. He had been exited about this day in 3 years. When Goku was young, he was placed out in the forest, all alone. But, an old man named Gohan saved him from a dangerous animal, and from then, Gohan took Goku in as his grandchild. But, when Goku was eight years old, Gohan left without telling Goku. He just left a letter saying

There is a paper note in the closet.
Open it on your eleventh birthday.

Goku, being a well learned child, had never touched the closet ever since.
But, today the day had come, and Goku was dragging a captured lion to his house, to have a great birthday meal. He sat down outside, and ate the entire lion. Afterwards, he was going to read the paper note. He was very exited. He ate half the lion, and saved the rest. Then, he walked slowly into house, and looked at the house. He put his hand at the door opener, and stopped. Should I do it?, he thought. Then, he said to himself one.. two.. he took a deep breath...
three!! he slammed the door open, and watched with excitement. Inside lay the paper note. He opened it, and read:

Dear Goku
I'm sorry about leaving you.
I felt that I had trained you enough to leave for a while.
I am now training around the world, and I want you to find me, as the ending for your training.
Here is a helping tip
go to the north ocean, try to not use a day.
and find the turtle master, he will help you on you way.

Goku was shocked. But, he also loved training, so he started packing. The next morning, he went on his way to the ocean. Then, he started swimming. He swan 7 hours, until he hit something hard. It was a turtle shell, an empty one, but still a turtle shell. He looked up, and about three metres away he saw a small pink house with red letters spelling “KAME-HOUSE” on the side. He climbed up shore, and knocked on the door.

An old man jumped out, and tripped on Goku`s foot. After Goku had dragged him out of the sand, Goku introduced himself, and told him that he was Gohan`s grandson. The old man smiled:”my name is Fredrick Roshi, but you can call me muten Roshi.” Goku said hello, and the two walked inside.
Goku then learned that Roshi was Gohan`s old martial arts teatcher, and that Gohan had visited three years ago, telling Roshi about Goku. Roshi then told Goku that if he wanted to find Gohan, he had to fight Roshi, and win. Goku then challanged Roshi, and the two started.

Goku attacked, but Roshi evaded. Then, he jumped back at Goku, and Kicked him up in the air, and while Goku tried to stop in mid-air, Roshi punched Goku in the stomach, and he fell to the ground. Roshi thought that Goku was done for, but Goku suddenly jumped up, and kicked Roshi`s jaw.

And so, it lasted for four entire hours, until Goku gave up. Roshi smiled, and walked over to him:Well done, kid. You have even more talent that your grandpa. Goku smiled, but couldn't really hear much, as he was about to faint.

Roshi agreed to train Goku, and a month of hard training later, Goku and Roshi fought again. This time, Goku won, and Roshi sent him to the martial arts world tournament. Goku really wanted to find his granpa, but Roshi insisted that he went to the tournament first. Goku did so, and went through the qualification rounds easy, struggled a bit in the quarter-and-semi finals, but was soon enough in the final. The man he was fighting had strange clothes, it looked almost as if he was hiding his true identity. As the fight begun, Goku felt like he knew his opponent already. He recognized his movement, but couldn't know where he had seen them before. The fight lasted an hour or so, before Goku managed to win. His opponent congratulated him, and took of the, mask.
It was Gohan.
