There are two English dubs (quality-wise)

Midguy's sounds better, more fluent than the Philippine and just cooler, lol. Midguy's my choice.

With respect to Philippine singer it can be heard that English isn't his first language and he actually focus more on pronouncing the lyrics than singing per se. Definitely the fandub sounds better.

Really? To me, it sounds like Midiguy is the one with the thick accent. Also, his lyric alterations are, um, strange.

The Philippine version is really good. I'm surprised they never had Vic Mignogna or some other various singer from FUNi fandub the openings and endings for one of the various DVD re-releases.

Gino Padilla's version (the one from the Philippines) sounds really good with the original backing. I believe kei17 edited them together but I haven't seen the video in years since his various youtube accounts keep getting strikes :/

Also worth noting that in the video posted, it was sped up. For whatever reason, his version is slower than Cha-La.

Padilla (lol reminds me of the name Anthony Padilla - Smosh ) > Age of Wonders (not really that good but OK) > Kageyama (Engrish)

There are times on Kageyama's version I can't ever understand what the heck he was saying. Should've been subtitled.

MidiGuy's still number one on best English CHA-LA-HEAD-CHA-LA, but if you think differently, it's fine. Everyone's entitled to his/her own opinion.

While those versions have nice writing and singing, they are too far from the original, rather than translation or adaptation is like a whole different song with the words "Cha-La Head-Cha-La" in it.

At the other hand, Kageyama's version may be too literal, so much that it doesn't make sense some times, and even with mistakes.

"Kicked in the face, this earth is mad as a fire brigade" > Why would a fire brigade be mad? They should have put the word "volcano" somehow there instead.
"If there ever was a dinosaur in a mound of icicles" > Don't know why this weird choice of words, instead of "melted iceberg".

Still, I love Kageyama's singing voice, so his Engrish version would be my favorite, after the Japanese one, of course.

While I love Kageyama's singing both in Japanese and Engrish, I don't think Cha La Head Cha La was his best attempt at an English song. My favorite would have to be:

Mainly because it still sounds mostly like the same song, minus the language difference.

It's fun listening to Kageyama sing in English though. We've gotten several instances of that with the new video games:

The reason Kageyama is my favorite Japanese singer is his passion and his voice. An awesome voice, and always singing his heart out.

Even if it sounds like gibberish to a native English speaker, you can guarantee the man put his whole heart into it. That's why I wanted him to come back for Kai (at least, if the news holds true, Toei recognizes this, and will use him for Saint Seiya Omega's opening).

Yeah, English Head Cha La is awesome, but not the best work he's done in terms of English adaptations of songs (his own, or others).
