So, I saw Tsukento throw this up on Twitter:
http://multiplayer.com/videogiochi/nint ... ll-3d.html
I suppose we should let the discussion begin? I know Namdai wanted to make a 3DS Dragon Ball game since a couple E3s ago, so maybe it's finally coming to fruition?

It would make sense if this is one of the 3 rumored games.

Hm, I'm a bit worried about Buu not being on there.

We see no sign of the Buu arc or the Saiyan arc, so I hope that this is the sequel to Attack of the Saiyans.

Boo doesn't need to be in every cover, Boo's arc will probably be included.
This one better not suck.

The cover art is just the "
CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA 2005 ver." CD single cover art. Somewhat strange choice.

Interesting! Good Catch. The game worked well with handhelds so that would be cool if this was a sequel. Can anyone tell who made it?

O...k? Maybe it's not the real cover then. If it is, then that is a very strange choice.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

I will be taking a shot in the dark and say Super Sonic Warriors 3? I don't think the art work is official and just a place holder.

I REALLY don't want a 3DS but I REALLY want that game. I'm not sure if I should be psyched or bummed at that suggestion.

I know eventually I'll have to get a 3DS (probably the aqua blue one) even though my old-school original chunky red DS is still chugging along just fine. I'm not sure if this'll be the game that would push me to get the system though. I did like "Attack of the Saiyans" a lot; I played that game completely through and did pretty much all the extras on it, and for someone like me who's just happy beating the game vs getting 100%, that's saying something. The Japanese voices being left intact in that game's localization was the icing on the cake; I loved it.
If it's just another fighting game like the Spike ones we've been getting lately though, only for the DS, I think I'll pass.
On hiatus.

Mostly a placeholder, we don't know any details bout the game yet. Interested into 3DS game, hope that the game is some fleshout fighting game or some alternatives...

The cover is indeed an odd selection, and who is the team behind this DBZ 3DS game? Spike?
Spike developing a DBZ game for 3DS? Who knows, Tenkaichi Tag Team worked fine on PSP, so 3DS might too.

Spike is working on this game? I'm looking forward to the game since I love the 3DS and I had one since X-mas. I still hope it will be another Super Sonic Warriors game since we did not had one since late 2006 which was six years ago.

YESSS!
(I remember I don't have a 3DS)
NOOOO!
But yeah, I guess this would cover Freeza-Cell if it were a sequel, right? Maybe that could be a reason why it's been in production for at least two years.

Whoever's behind this DBZ 3DS game definitely has to make use of the graphics 3DS offers, because most 3DS games don't look much better than the regular DS.
Being Nintendo they often don't praise the graphics' fans but with 3DS and new consoles' of theirs, they need to make use of it already.

Wow, pretty excited.
But then I'm not, mainly because I would prefer this 3DS game to be an original game. Not an original story, but like maybe something like Buu's Fury. Adventure action, something like Origins but more fun and better controls and gameplay. I know nothing is confirmed but just goin on fan speculation.

I'm not very excited, since I don't plan on ever getting a 3DS, I wish it will have What-If Stories, or some video-game fillers (like in Attack of the Saiyans), or even an original storie with original characters. If it has something of those I mentioned, I hope for a YouTube walkthrough, at least.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I don't know why you guys are speculating on what this is. The listing itself seems like a placeholder based on that generic support list we got years ago at E3. "Dragon Ball 3D" isn't a title I'd expect Bandai to use on actual packaging. So, I'm really confused as to why you guys think/hope Spike will be behind this (why would you hope Spike gets the chance to make more Dragon Ball games? They've had ample opportunity to make something good and have mostly fumbled) or it'll be a sequel to Attack of the Saiyans (which is actually impossible now) or something. It's just a random, non-descriptive retailer listing.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.
