Awesome New DragonBall Z Kai Commercial On Nicktoons.

Post by Tanooki Kuribo » Tue Mar 13, 2012 5:54 pm

I'm looking for this new commercial Nicktoons plays for DragonBall Z Kai. I can't seem to find it on youtube, so maybe someone has it tucked away in some personal file storage site somewhere... ?

I don't know if anyone has seen this. The commercial shows mostly Android and Cell arc stuff to some soft, kinda sad sounding piano keys playing. It's such a change of pace from seeing those typical "rock and roll playing to fighting scenes" commercials.

That commercial was freaking awesome. Proof enough Nicktoons was a good home for Dragon Ball Z Kai.

I have a feeling Kai will continue to air on Nicktoons for at least another year.

There are counties in the world that air Dragon Ball Z dubbed in their language for many many years, and since the Kai dub is excellent, don't see why Nicktoons would stop airing it.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

To make room for new shows? Because airing ceaseless reruns is not typical for an American TV station?

O shit, that was kick-ass!

Loved those slow motion scenes coupled with that piano music. If I was a kid who knew nothing of DBZ, I'd stake my life on catching every episode of this show.

Yeah, because Nicktoons never airs endless reruns of old shows for years. (Looks at Avatar: The Last Airbender) Yeah...

Yeah, I can see Kai getting knocked off the primetime spots after a while to make room for the newer stuff, but as for being cycled over and over again on the channel in general? It's not that difficult to imagine, IMO. That is, unless they change management like Cartoon Network...

I said it's not typical. Avatar belongs to Nick. They absolute control over that show and they don't have to pay any royalties. Kai is a different beast. There are two other companies involved. Once it stops getting ratings, it will be dropped. And they will continue to show Avatar reruns after that.

Other than that, though, yeah its not common to play endless reruns.

The commercial isn't exactly "new", its been around for quite a couple of months now. Quite surprised someone like you Tanooki Kuribo would not know about this until now, just figured you were always up-to-date on this kind of stuff.

I haven't been up to date with anything Kai since about September. I started working nights and never got to see the last run of new episodes. I haven't even seen the Cell Games (via DBZK) yet. I only usually watch Nicktoons on Saturday mornings for a few hours now before I head out. And even then, it's just really on in the background.

Wow... that was unlike any American trailer I've seen for Dragon Ball.

I'd love to see more like that.

Agreed great trailer
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128
