Apparently Manga intend to release DBZ this summer in the UK. I wonder when the cross media promotion campaign will appear and where?
BTW, here that promotional flyer that advertised a release last December:

If Manga UK were to release Dragon Box Z UK sets in unlimited quantities, each volume were to have 40 episodes and for £24.99 or £29.99, I think everyone would be happy to purchase them.enapace wrote:Any proper fans of Dragon Ball Z will have already got a region 1 release by now it kind of funny though that it is finally coming to UK after 10 years of being shown on TV here. I agree it would of better for them license a Dragon Box release but it probably would of cost Manga to much.
I don’t know if there is any products witch this can cross-promote with, manga UK doesn’t do any real advertising like television promotion for their products. The new licensee is planning to release the 1st of the 9 boxes this summer and to support the launch with a complete cross-media promotion campaign.
can't wait to see what they say.Worst kept secret in the anime biz isn't it? Will reveal all at MCM Expo Birmingham on Sat 31t March.
It seems Toei has removed the page. NVM, what was on the page is now on DaizEX's homepage anyway.KingofWisdom wrote:I'm getting that "Access denied" page too.
I was able to access it last night, they removed it quite recently then.KingofWisdom wrote:I'm getting that "Access denied" page too.

In UK they aired the Ocean Dub version but it seems as though the FUNimation Dub also broadcast there.Rukura wrote:but didn't they get the Ocean dub for the series all the way through?
I wasn't even talking about getting Dragon Box masters. Just...something that wasn't the orange bricks. I would think that that's something that they could get from Toei without going balls to the wall with licensing costs.dbboxkaifan wrote:Maybe Manga Ent. UK is not licensing the Dragon Box Z footage due to how expensive might be and could lead them to bankruptcy if it wouldn't sell well
Really? Because even as far Cartoon Network here in Europe, the only english stuff I remember them showing was from the stuff up to Vegeta (which was just the stuff with Ocean studios)dbboxkaifan wrote:In UK they aired the Ocean Dub version but it seems as though the FUNimation Dub also broadcast there.
For the Freeza arc Ocean didn't dub those episodes, so they had to air them anyhow, so FUNi's Dub was used, I suppose.Rukura wrote:I wasn't even talking about getting Dragon Box masters. Our distributor of anime, ladies and gentlemen. Now let's shut up and not speculate. Ever.
