The "big lie" part implies that he is very far from being the weakest. He is one of the strongest, if not the strongest.

Gohan cant be weakest. I mean Pan in fighthing and that means she is stronger than him ? xD yea right.

This is what i found on db multiverse page : Gohan is weaker than Goku in that time but stronger than Vegeta or Uub.But in what time is it when this happend ? Anyone know ?

"Perhaps." Said Vegeta. "But there happens to be a person in this very room who is stronger than level three... And even without a single transformation."

A pause then occured, and the two Saiyans turned to Gohan. Uub and Pan, who were on either side of Gohan, began to look at him as well. This made Gohan a little uncomfortable, and he suddenly began to feel heavy.

"That door is our only way out, Gohan." said Vegeta suddenly, holding his arm out in Gohan's direction. "You had better protect it."

"Vegeta, what are you doing!?" asked Goku while Vegeta continued to accumulate more power.

Vegeta ascended to Super Saiyan level two and a ball of energy began to form in his hands.

"Pan!" Shouted Gohan. "Get out of the way fast!"

For the first time Pan saw a seriousness in her father that she had never seen before.

"Big... Bang..." Vegeta began.

"Gohan!" Goku screamed.

"Attack... !" Vegeta finished.

The blast crashed into the hands of Gohan, who cried out as it hit, surrounding himself with a near translucent white aura. Gohan should have been knocked back by the sheer power of the blast, but his support was not in his feet, and he began to levitate to remain on the spot. His glasses shattered and his shirt tore apart around his body.

The ground shook as the shock wave of the blast made two trips around the room, and an explosion of light surrounded the area. In spite of the amount of power, Gohan effectively stopped the blast. Apart from two yards of rubble left in the blast's wake, there was no damage, and smoke rose off of Gohan's unscathed hands. Gohan had not been hurt at all by the blast; there was no blood or even a single scratch on him.

"See, Kakarotto? That's the power I was talking about," said an exhausted Vegeta, whose hair faded back to black.

"Vegeta! You...You..." Gohan could not find the right words to say. He hesitated between pure anger and astonishment toward Vegeta's actions. "Is this why you asked me to come here!?" he asked.

"Don't be such a baby." Replied Vegeta, ignoring the question. "Piccolo will be able to fix your clothes when we return." Vegeta approached and placed a hand on Gohan's shoulder, much to the surprise of the half-Saiyan. "For over ten years I've dreamed of doing that." Said Vegeta. "Don't be angry with me."

"But Gohan has the powers of the Gods in him." Said Goku as he walked toward the two. "His strength has nothing to do with train-"

"We will cease combat." Said Vegeta, cutting Goku off. "I will never find a stronger opponent, so I will find the answers by myself."

Once they returned to the palace, Vegeta was ready to fly away when Gohan ran past Piccolo and Dende after him, who were both surprised to see Gohan in rags.

"Wait, Vegeta!" Gohan yelled, "Why did you do this? Sometimes I wonder what goes on in your head!"

Vegeta turned and looked at Gohan as if the answer was obvious.

"You work to expand your mind, to discover why atoms go bling and blong and what not," replied Vegeta. "I work to push the limits of the Saiyan warrior."

Vegeta turned to leave when Gohan stopped him by grabbing his shoulder with one hand, stunning the prince. Vegeta returned a gaze to Gohan, whose expression had suddenly became much harder.

"Vegeta." Said Gohan. "If you ever do that around my daughter again... I swear I'll kill you..."

"Noted," replied the prince with a smile.

Vegeta then flew away and quickly vanished from sight. Gohan watched him disappear, calmed himself, and turned around. "Bling... And blong?" He murmured to himself thoughtfully.

"Dad!" Said Pan, appearing behind her father and grabbing his arm. "I didn't know you were so strong!"

"Pan... You're not hurt are you?" asked Gohan with obvious concern.

"No way!" She replied. "You stopped the whole blast! I'm fine!"

Pan was really proud of her father at that moment. Her broad smile and admiring eyes spoke volumes about what she thought of him. Goku and Uub then arrived out of the palace and joined Gohan and Pan.

"Son Gohan... What power!" Exclaimed Uub. "I've never seen you in combat before!"

"Yeah, Gohan doesn't like fighting." Said Goku. "I'm proud of how strong he is, but he hasn't really trained since the fight with Cell... It's kind of a shame."

"Is he... Stronger than you?" Uub asked.

"He was ten years ago." Replied Goku. "Since then, Vegeta and I have trained extensively every day. Uub, you haven't seen my true power yet, nor have you seen Gohan's... But I can see you becoming as strong as him someday!"

"But..." Uub began. "When I see how strong the three of you are, I just can't see how I-"

"You have to trust in your power, Uub." Said Goku. "In ten years you could become stronger than all of us!"

And one more question. Vegeta says there is one person than can go beyond level three without transformation.Does that mean Gohan can go ssj and his ssj boost would put him on big level or its yust waste of ki ?

I dunno, I could buy Goku surpassing Gohan again with enough time to train. It's not that out there, given Gohan's dis-interest in fighting compared to Goku's love for it.

Looks like it was 'canon' Gohan after all. I can't help but wonder what this proposition of his is though...worst part is, we probably won't find out for a few more pages yet.

The basic concept of mystic is that he reaches his ultimate potential, the pinnacle of what a lifetime of training could achieve. His utmost maximum power. You're saying that Goku can just walk over that? I would dare to say that Gohan's potential is greater than Goku's so ultimately it wouldn't be possible, ever.

Mystic Gohan is one of the reasons Toriyama had to call it quits after the buu saga. Gohan had become an impossible character to work with. No room for improvement anymore.

I disagree, Dragon Ball has no finite limits. Gohan's power was brought out beyond his current maximum potential of his 17 year old body. Even if he were a human, he still had a couple of years before peaking at his prime, and with his Saiyan genes and their youthful effects, there is no telling when his true prime would come or how long it would last.

Of course this doesn't work for DBM because Salagir has tier power limits, but I don't really care about his opinions anyway.

I see your point, but because of Gohan's more stern look after becoming "mystic" I always saw it as him reaching a stage of full maturity and potential. It's up for interpretation anyway.

It says "BIG LIE" and then there's an arrow pointing to that bubble.
Saw that too! Haha. Typical DB right here.

What the hell is Gohan doing? Challenging them to an arm wrestling match, that was pretty damn funny. ^So Multiverse Goku is stronger than Gohan huh? I think it's totally possible for Goku to catch up to Gohan's power after 20 freakin' years, especially with a competent sparring partner in Oob.

When this was said again? The chapter posted here implied the opposite. Vegeta, at last, don't seem to believe so, he clearly think Gohan is the strongest opponent he can find, which make sense.

Anyway, I am amusing how many people missed the "Big Lie" message and took the statement seriously. :P Heck, I actually missed the small message as well, but the bluff was so obvious I didn't need it. As someone said before, Gohan is, at very last, stronger than Pan. And the way he phrased it, he was saying he was weaker than Bra, Videl and Piccolo as well, which is just laughable.

Gohan (Forest Gump) xD

So its official. Gohan U18 accidently get in XXI room where he see Enraged Gohan ss2 xD

http://postimage.org/image/fdbrod43l/

This one is the best xD

Well this is my opinion after Gohan wins arm wrestling. Gohan proposes Kakarotto to spar with Pan and then overpower her "gently" in order to have her still advance her skills, but ultimately keep her safe.

Now this is other way:

After he leaves them, Saiyan pride should be crushed so Vegeta orders Kakarot to kill Pan. Kakarot kills Pan and then Gohan steps in with his rage killing Kakarot and maybe even all Universe 13. So Vegetto steps in and stops Gohan like in Bardock vision. So maybe he kills Gohan from universe 18 yust to stop him cuz Gohan after taking blast from Vegeta in time chamber showed very angry, and he sad to Vegeta he will kill him if he do that again near Pan. So now we can only guess.

The exchange Gohan wants to propose might be for Goku and Kakarot to secretly switch places. Pan doesn't get hurt that way. It'd be quite a wrench in everybody's predicted brackets, too.

Didn't Pan from universe 18 forfeit? If I remember correctly, she said she didn't want to fight anymore.

She said she wanted to forfeit. But she have yet to carry it out. Zangya said the same thing, remember. Frankly, I never even thought it was possible for Pan to not fight anymore (specially considering they went out their way to get rid of her 'clone'). I can't understand why so many people are so dead set she have gave up and has no possibility of coming "back".

Heck, rereading the scene, she just said "I think I'll stop here...". Pretty open run for her to not give up, after all. Her only grip is she thinks she is not strong enough, not being a Super Sayajin and all. But, if the other Pan can, so can she. As long as she gain her confidence back, she should be still in the game.

I'm not sure about the switch, but it definitely has something to do with Pan being spared, I would imagine.

I think what I like most about the last pages is how Gohan's images from his memory with each of them is from the perspective of someone a lot smaller than them and how big and menacing they looked to him. It makes the reader even more aware of how much of a child he was back then. It's a nice touch.

Yeah, that was pretty smart thinking on Salagir/Gogeta's side.
