Merry Christmas fellow DBZ fans, and may the good Lord bless us with a good following year.
Amen! :P

I've finally gotten used to Budokai Tenkaichi's controls. It took me forever! I hate the 'Kill the enemy with X attack' levels, I mean c'mon, people!
I really, really need to get back into the habit of posting.

You think that's tough, try to beat Perfect Cell with Teen Gohan ON EASY in the Cell Arc. It made me lose it but it was the only time I actually hated the game, though. That and the Great Ape Vegeta vs. Goku level (which wasn't too bad once I got flying down to a T, but still that AI is just brutal and harsh sometimes.

Anyway, I got absolutely no DBZ related things for X-mas. I blame that on my being so new to the show that my relatives still don't realize I actually like this stuff now. I used to hate anime, can you believe that? But it sucks because I even asked for the Ultimate uncut DVD's as well as Budokai Tenkaichi on my list and got neither. Oh well, can't win them all I guess.
Best. Slip 'n' slide. EVER!

I don't mind those too much. I usually finish off with a Finishing Move of some sort anyway, so it's not a big hassle to have to use a specific one. :P
The only one that gave me a little trouble was the first Kaioken Attack one. I didn't use Kaioken before, and it took me a while to figure out how to do it (since I had to go into Kaioken FIRST, then use the attack). I was almost dead since I kept trying to transform too close to the enemy, and he kept hitting me before the transformation finished.
That and the Great Ape Vegeta vs. Goku level (which wasn't too bad once I got flying down to a T, but still that AI is just brutal and harsh sometimes.
I have found that some battles just spike up in difficulty from out of nowhere. I breeze through a bunch of battles, then from out of nowhere, I get smacked around by the next opponent. I still love the game though. :D

The easiest thing to do with that Great Ape Vegeta is to blast him with a Kamehameha, run away, charge up, blast again, and repeat. It shouldn't be hard to keep him at bay, since charging enough Ki for a Kamehameha doesn't take too long.

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. Like in the Namek arc where all the battles leading up to 100% Freeza are easy as pie and then Super Saiyan Goku vs. same rolls around and I get stuck. The game was only so-so for me though, even if that kind of stuff hadn't happened.

Yeah, that's exactly what I did. The problem was that I sucked at flying so bad that he would just catch up with me and start beating me up again. Once I fixed that though it was no problem.

I'm on the Kid Buu v. SSJ3 Goku survival level, and that AI is an evil bastard. The survival battles piss me off too, I hate the Oozaru Vegeta v. Goku one, I still haven't beaten it yet. :|

Oozaru Vegeta pissed me off to, but it's fairly simple. Hit him with a Kamehameha the instant the battle starts, then get within hitting distance nad hit Square-Square-X for the entire battle. DON'T stop long enough for him to recover.

Be wary Chaos! I tried that strategy too, and while it's pretty effective it certainly isn't fool proof. ONE SLIP of the controls and you will be a broken, bloody mess on the ground at his feet, because he reacts to an opening almost instantly and doesn't let up.

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. Like in the Namek arc where all the battles leading up to 100% Freeza are easy as pie and then Super Saiyan Goku vs. same rolls around and I get stuck.
I didn't have trouble with that one, but I had some trouble with Goku VS Vegeta (normal, not Oozaru) in the Saiyan Saga. I don't remember if I had to retry that many times, but I mean, that one was really intense for me. In the previous battles, the AI was pretty tame and not so aggressive, but Vegeta came at me from out of nowhere, caught me off guard, and started pummeling me since it was so different from the other enemies I was fighting. :o

You're on the Buu Saga already? I take it you're either not going through the Battle gates in order or in 100% completion, or you're playing a LOT. :P

Well I don't know if this will work for Buu since I haven't played it, but the thing I usually do in survival levels is try and get some distance (you can try running, smashing the enemy away, or knocking him down with a blast), then get to Maximum Power. Don't use any Finishing Move, but just use normal Ki blasts.

They're good for stopping the enemy in their tracks and keeping them at bay if they're moving towards you. When you're in Max Power, you can fire LOTS of normal blasts without having to worry about draining your Ki. So this can kill a lot of time.

If they get too close, you can try a full power smash to get them away from you again, then start firing blasts like before. When you're at Max Power, you can do full power smashes right away.

If you don't have the time to power up to Maximum, letting loose any Finishing move that will knock them down for a while is effective too. Those don't take long to charge up. Also, remember that you can hide behind things in the environment, which can give you more time to power up.

I try to stay away from using the Stun combo since there's a possibility they can block it, then start attacking you relentlessly. Of course, my suggestions aren't foolproof either. It's just that I like to keep my distance. Especially if you're fighting an enemy that has High Speed Rush. Keeping your distance will give you more time to react to that attack, or any other attack, if they happen to get out of your stun combo.

Well, I've got the Freeza and Android Sagas 100% complete, along with a few of the short one episode stories and the Cell what-if? story.

:x What pisses me off in the Kid Buu fight is that you've gotta survive for 90, not 60 seconds. I always get down to 20 seconds and the little bastard kills me!

Chaos, be sure to take my advice on this, as this is the absolute best way I know of to survive against Kid Buu in his survival battles. When playing as SSJ3 Goku, SSJ2 Vegeta, Hercule, and Mr. Buu as well, always make sure to get right up into Kid Buu's face, maybe land a few hits that'll knock him to the ground, then charge back to him and just keep your finger on the O (Gaurd) button for the rest of the duel. Trust me, Kid Buu's AI is very repetitve in these duels and if you're blocking the whole time right next to him, he'll just keep doing normal hits (and don't worry about his shock-wave attempt at the end of his hitting combo, as it'll have no effect if you've been blocking the whole time). Just do that little juubaggish manuever I came up with, and you'll breeze through the Kid Buu survival battles in no time, and be set to repeat history with Son's Genki-dama. Good luck, and consider this a Christmas present from SSJ Conan. 8)

For Christmas I got 4 DragonBall related things.First off I got Funimation's new DragonBall movie box set.I was sad that funimation didn't redub movies 2 & 3,but it is good to have them on DVD so I can watch the Japanese versions .

I also got got movie 7 on DVD uncut.I thought the english dubbed version,Super Android 13,really sucked, but the original Japanese version, Extreme Battle!!The 3 Great Super Saiyans,I thought it was awsome. It was 100x better than the dub.

Actually, with Vegeta, I think you have to survive 120 seconds. I beat that one in about 3 tries, but I had major trouble with the one using good Buu. I eventually beat that one too though, and now I just have some of the bonus Battle Gates left to do.

Doesn't the Ki /shockwave thingy break your guard though? That's what always happened to me, which is why my best bet was to stay the hell away from him and attack at a distance.

Let's see...

- The DragonBall movie boxset (Path to Power = Best DB movie ever!)
- Nine uncut DBZ tapes (Couldn't pass the chance to buy 'em for $1 a pop.)
- and finally, the first five volumes of the Dragonball manga.

Then there's all the One Piece and Spidey stuff I got.

I tried Conan's hint last night when I got to Kid Buu. It does work, I didn't have to restart any of the battles, and the only trouble I had was when Kid Buu got me at an angle where I couldn't block, but I fixed that within seconds and still had green health. Also, with Fat Buu, he'll shoot ki blasts at first, but you just have to run over to him and hit him to start the melee. After that, with the other battles, hit O and never let go.

Thanks, Conan. 8)

I got Legendary Super Warriors and Vol. 1 & 2 of the DBZ manga ( I guess that would be what... vol... 17 and 18?) I got my brother one of the DB 2-disc set things too.

Theres not really all that much DB related junk left to get now-a-days... I know I'm gonna get the DB movie box and advanced adventure this year though.
