This is a very, very sad piece of news. I badly wanted to see a spin-off anime of Mutaito with his Piccolo Daimao.

And there goes another. Sad to know the guy suffered a stroke that first put him out of his voice acting career, but another that killed him.
So mondo lame.

It's truly sad indeed. the way I look at it, ''he's a-lot better off & in a better place. (if you believe in such a thing) at-least he's not in anymore pain.
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

It's a really sad thing indeed, but we're going to see a lot more of these people go as time goes on. If you think about it, DBZ ended in Japan in 1996 - that was sixteen years ago - and many of them had been working on the show for many years before that - much as many Trek fans had to accept they would lose the people who gave them their favorite series, we will have to as well.

Not trying to say that no one should feel sad, because this is sad. Just trying to keep people from getting TOO torn out by it - because otherwise the next several years will just be killer, especially when we lose Toriyama himself some day for real (as opposed to bad jokes indicating such).

R.I.P

I may have not have ever fully listened to the original but I appreciate it for what it is and the people who worked on it.

I'm not sad, I can only say that if someone like this dies, I wish he's in peace and that he ''deserves it'' after those several years he spent on this planet, if it is dying by age. It will be selfish from me to think: ''Ah hell, my favorite actor died, so I won't hear him in my favorite series anymore''. What I know from firsthand, these people are completely the same people as we are, living the same life, only have different job :)

That would have been awesome. :(

This is quite the saddening news. I had hoped he would recover, but I guess it should have been clear after two years that wasn't going to happen. Damn.

Probably getting high fives from God for his awesome portrayal.

I figured he probably wouldn't ever return to work, but I had hoped he would still get a few more years of life.

That's really sad to hear. It makes me want to go back and watch some of the Piccolo Daimao episodes. He was always one of my favorite voices when it came to villains. Rest in Peace

This was definitely really sad news, and I'm sad to see him go. :( I wish his family the best in this hard time.

I only wish he had a character in the part of GT I'm watching right now, to hear him again because of this.

Sad to see him gone. It seem like he did voice dubbing for movies that were dub in Japan like Alien, Deep Impact, Freddy vs. Jason and several other popular films.

Sad news. Really loved him playing Piccolo Daimao, just a perfect performance by him during that arc. Also as Kami.

Oh wow, I had no idea he was Colonel Campbell in Japanese, I'm so used to the English voices for those games. Now I want to go find clips of his work there, the colonel was a great character.

Well, I personally think that dying at 76 is young enough for the news to be sad. I mean, 76 is a decently long life obviously and he could have done much worse, but it's also not out of the ordinary to live a number of years past that. My grandfather lived to the age of 93, dying only this past June, and think it would have been a shame for his life to have come to an end in 1994 rather than 2011.

Rest in peace, sir.

I know 76 is long life but it's so short at the same time(I know I contradicted myself) 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. just seems to go by so fast. sorry about your grandpa
