DBZ Coming to the UK? (Apparently yes!)

Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.

but with all this 'hush~hush' manga uk are currently doing hopefully it just a case of trying to put the cat back in the bag in time to make some announcement at the expo,
because i do have a small amount of faith in this company when i bought Soul Eater part 4 and Sacred Blacksmith from them a week ago

It sounds good in theory and might bring it better to the UK but with the fact that I have all of Dragon ball z DBOX and will slowly get the DB season sets sometime I doubt it going make that much difference if it had come out earlier i would of thought brilliant but now it just a nice thing to see.

This just came to my mind: Will it contain the dub track with the dub music? You know, for those who may concern.

Usually it's an exact copy of Madman's release. Except Madman's logo changed to Manga's, and R4 changed to R2.

I might get around to buying this, just to show my support, and my curiosity. :P In the mean time, I have dragon boxes to buy!

I asked Manga at the MCM Expo industry panel yesterday and they told me (and whoever else was in attendance) there is no announcement that they can make regarding a DBZ release at this time.

I'm sure someone will beat me to it but as I still work in HMV, I should be able to have a look at the video and audio etc prior to the high street release. Like most people on here though I have nearly all of the Dragon Boxes (minus Box 7). It's just a shame this release is four years late.

Might be worth mentioning that DragonBallZ.com finally works in the UK now.

I keep checking HMV but it's not listed. I was hoping prices and more info would be released.

But does manga have the rights to the faulconer music? Even if it is the funi dub there's still the music licensing issue that's bugging me.

Sorry to bump the thread.

Not sure if this has been posted anywhere:

No reason? But being the DBZ orange bricks is a good reason enough to delay it or not even release it at all.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

Unusual, when I asked them on twitter they said, they don't have plans at all - But the last post indicates there are indeed plans. Whatever; they are orange bricks anyway and most fans from the UK (me included) have exported them already.
Additionally, for those from the UK who may buy just for interest, I would rather they don't as they do not do justice to DBZ (Unless radical changes have been made). Perhaps the only thing that would interest me slightly would be if it has ocean dub.

Seriously, they'd have been better off just getting the Blu Ray masters and putting them out. I'd have actually bought them.

Not many people would probably buy for Manga Entertainment to make it worth licensing the Blu-rays, so it'd end up another cancelled show on Blu-ray.

People wouldn't really need to buy from Manga Entertainment, if they do release DBZ the sets could cost £20+, some places sell them for £12-15 now. It would be good for people who don't buy online, but surely not enough to keep the release going. I'd like them to release Kai, but it probably won't happen.

Because having no DBZ at all is better than having something. Especially since they've been waiting years to get a home release.

Hum, the original R1 Orange Bricks are Region 2 compatible so all they'd need to do is import them.

I do agree, it's better to have something (despite how crappy it is) than nothing.
