What about Kai?

That's precisely why ordinary men pursue the concept of perfection, it's infatuation. But ultimately I have to ask myself "What is the true meaning of being perfect?" and the answer I came up with was nothing. Not one thing. The truth of the matter is I despise perfection! If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! Scientist's agonize over the attempt to achieve perfection! That's the kind of creatures we are! We take joy in trying to exceed our grasp, in trying to reach for something that in the end, we have to admit may in fact be unreachable!"

I think SylentEcho was refering to FUNi's old dub and not Kai when he said that.
If anyone has any of the DB/DBZ/DBGT or Maho Tsuaki Sally Japanese single DVD's that they'd be interested in selling send me a PM and I'll see if we can work something out. ;).

Whether they do it for their own interest or not doesn't matter. They're a company and have to milk something if they have to, but there's also a LOT of fanaticism involved in what they do which I like about them. They love the show and feel attached to it.

I never feel disappointed in buying their products (except the Orange Bricks) because I only buy it for the Japanese version. I stopped watching their dub since 2005.
Why should someone who was/is a fan of the Ultimate Uncut Edition forgive FUNimation? The next DBZ release after was a huge screw up.

No dubtitles, no 4:3 AR, no awesome design art and for the Latin Spanish in US, no LS dub.

UUE was far better than the orange bricks ever were.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:

Why would you want dubtitles? And the later volumes didn't have any.

They cancelled them because they may have been disappointed with the sales. Also they thought the Orange Bricks would work for some reason and wanted to make them cheap.

Those are for the hearing impaired and for people for whom English isn't the first language.

I like the dub except for the fact that Goku's character is still done wrong and Chris Sabat ruins Vegeta for me hence I still prefer the Japanese version. Still a good dub though.

Come on. Even I think the Kai dub did Goku some justice.

But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

I don't think anyone knows the exact reason why the UUEs were canceled. However, the general concensus among the fandom is that FUNimation thought it was just more cost effective to release the series in box sets rather than in individual volumes.

Well to some people doing something like releasing boxsets at a cheaper price does make more sense and honestly if FUNimation would've reatined the original 4:3 AR and LS dub the OB boxsets actually could've been a perfect alternative to the DRAGON BOX release of the series.
