If FUNi were to release the original DB CDs would you buy?
Dragon Ball: Complete Song Collection (or: Zenkyoku Shu)
Dragon Ball: Music Collection
Dragon Ball & Dragon Ball Z: Complete Music Collection
Dragon Ball Z: Best Song Collection - Legend of Dragon World
Dragon Ball Z: BGM Collection
Dragon Ball GT: Live & Singles Collection
This would be more towards the "hardcore" fans which FUNimation calls but even so, since Dragon Ball Z Kai features the original DBZ soundtrack it welcomes the american audience to the original Z music.
So why hasn't FUNimation licenced them and released?
I don't own any of these but I definitely would love to have DB+DBZ Complete Music Collection or DBZ BGM Collection.

I've thought about this a lot, especially after I first got my hands on the old DragonBall DVD sets and heard the variety of BGM playing through the different menu screens. I've had my suspicions for a while that FUNi must have SOME access to the BGM library (or a second-generation recording of it), beyond the music tracks spliced in those specific ways for each episode, and it just kills me to think that people who probably don't appreciate it for what it is have access to that, while I and most other DragonBall BGM fans have to wander around tearing our hair out for CD-cravings.
If they did it anywhere near right, as well as included previously unreleased music, you'd better believe I'd buy them.

BGM forever! If only more people paid attention to it... well, I intend to change that.

There are clearly gigantic licensing hurdles (see: off-hand comments about paying out the ass for "CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA" in Ultimate Tenkaichi and getting replacement scores for Sparking! onwards) and likely market research suggesting that there are not nearly enough fans that would purchase this stuff if released domestically.
I mean, those of us who want the music have already purchased it, right? I already had a pretty fleshed-out collection before FUNimation ever put out a single piece of video with the Kikuchi score (OK, minus those first three DBZ movies
), and past that point it was likely the same with other fans.
There's no way in Hell they'd recoup their costs to do that stuff. The closest they could have come would have been the Kenji Yamamoto score in Dragon Ball Kai BUT WHOOPS NEVER MIND THAT.

I can imagine the confused folks who buy a CD thinking it's Faulconer's music and then complaining it didn't have Vegeta's theme with the bells. Oh, the Amazon reviews for it. I shudder to think. "DON'T bUY thizzz! Not dbz real muSIC! ZERO STARS!"
But I would certainly consider a purchase myself.

But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

Actually, some of the items you mentioned ARE available in the states, courtesy of Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Ball-Compl ... m_sbs_m_12
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000DZ ... 00_details
http://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Ball-Z-Bes ... I'm_sbs_m_7
Granted, they weren't OFFICIALLY relesed here, they're labeled as "import" items, and carry a heavier price tag than most people would like, but hey, that's KIND OF like getting them released here, right?

When Future Trunks goes Ssj, and when Gohan goes Ssj2, I would definitely purchase the CD's that have these tracks on them.
