Gotenks Super Saiyan 2?

Gotenks Super Saiyan 2?

Gotenks went from regular Gotenks to Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks, or Super Gotenks.

How come there's no Super Saiyan 2 Gotenks?

Goku went from SSJ to SSJ3 against Pure Boo. Does that mean he doesn't have SSJ2?

He was SSJ2 for one panel I think.

This. It looked like his hair grew a bit and he paused for a second in that one panel before it completely grew out for his Ssj3 form. This looked like it could've been his Ssj2 form. I'm sure he can become a Ssj2, but he tends to prefer going straight to Ssj3. Against Boo he3 didn't even try using Ssj2. He may have just wanted to show off his new SSj3 form, not that old Ssj2 like their dads had before Goku went Ssj3, then that became all the rage with the kids. :P

EDIT: I was too slow...and your image is much better too. :lol:

Hmm, I remember the GT Perfect Files mentioned something about prefering to go directly to Super Saiyan 3 because the increase of power was much greater.

There is SSJ2 Gotenks but no realy in fight. Everyone neads to master form after form to get to last ssj level.
Its like going from base to ssj2 ( ssj to ssj3 ). It yust doesnt work like that.

Really? That's...interesting to say the least. However, if anything I would say Gotenks got a smaller boost from SSjin3, not a greater boost.

I wonder if they simply meant that jumping from SS to SS3 granted a larger boost than SS to SS2, which seems like common sense. Basically, SS2's a waste of time if you can just use SS3 to overpower the villain (who may be stronger than you with SS2), especially now that Gokuu was alive and probably had quite a bit of time to train off the debilitating effects of SS3.

I meant in the sense that the increase in power of the Super Saiyan 3 is more effective than Super Saiyan 2, not that there is a difference from which form you jumped from.

Yeah, I know. I was merely wondering whether or not they meant what I explained above.

It's not like Vegeta in GT who skipped SSJ3. They figured that it wouldn't be much good against Buu since their dads had failed with SSJ2. So THAT'S why, OP, you never saw them with it.
I wish we could have seen the strengths of Goten and Trunks individually post ROSAT anyway...

That's not really relevant anyway. "Super Saiyan 4" isn't linear with the other forms; it's an entirely different branch of the transformation tree.

I dont even know if Vegeta was SS3 because his hair was so damn short
Also that's a plothole in DBZ he said a true sayain's hair never grows naturaly
(excluding transformation's) why would he choose to change his appearence so permanantly ,and he also look's like a frickin biker in GT

It is never said their hair don't grow, in the original it is just said that they don't undergo "weird changes".

Well, it just want to bypass because they wanted to impress Piccolo.

Also, I remember that Goku used SSj2 against kid buu, but I think it was a filler.

And yes, the anime makes a lot of misconcept of SSj2 to SSj Goku.
