Finally! Someone agrees!
but yeah, I have to agree with Piccolo Daimao, even though Goku wasn't used that much in some parts of "Z", they still didn't shut up about him. Even in the Cell arc, the saga he was barley in, all everyone said was "You just wait until Goku comes, he'll beat you up!!". It got rather jarring to hear that from Kruririn and Chi-Chi over and over again.

He may be our only hope!", and then Gohan or whoever are shafted to side while Gokuu returns with some big-ass power-up and dominates the bad guy. It just feels cheap.
I mean, seriously, they practically repeated the same scene with Gokuu vs. Nappa, and Gokuu vs. Recoom. Gokuu saves his friends in the nick of time? Check. Friends warn him about opponent's power, attempt to fight with him, and doubt his strength increase? Check. Gokuu surprises everyone by owning the villain? Check. Gokuu tells the villain's comrades to take his friend and leave the planet? Check. Even Gokuu's defeat of Butta is so similar to his defeat of Nappa it's not even funny. The only real difference is Vegeta musing about the possibility of Gokuu being a Super Saiyan.
Yeah, it is pretty cheap... but it's so awesome when it happens that I can't help but love it!

I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on
my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

lol agreed. It is awesome. Though tbh, Toriyama seemed tired during the latter half of the Freeza saga. It still worked because he basically had only done that twice at this point (counting the entire Dragon Ball story). The Freeza saga felt like a "sequel" in a sense. A lot of things repeat themselves. I really love the Android/Cell arc mostly because it really feels like Toriyama's regained a lot of his initial inspiration. Everything comes together absolutely brilliantly. Unlike the Freeza saga, where you knew it would end with Goku vs. Freeza, you had NO idea how the Cell (or Buu) arcs were going to unfold or end. Just brilliant.

Yeah. Goten's hairstyle was much better off Z style. I always wanted to see a Super Saiyan version of it. Which there are a few fan made ones.

You know Kuririn. He's always talking about "I wish Goku were here."

Some fans hate Dragon Ball GT so much yet they want the GT characters to be included in the video games and a Blu-ray release of the GT series.
I don't care for a BD version, just Dragon Boxes of DB, GT, Films/Specials.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

Poeple hate Gt for its story mostly, characters? Well that depends on the person but for most it just means they have a overpowered character(SSJ4 Gogeta) to get cheap wins when they feel like it. I like some characters but hate story.

Agreed. I like some(not all) of the character designs and I don't mind seeing them in games. Plus it doesn't hurt to break away from the constant Raditz-Buu(sometimes) storymode. However, that doesn't mean that I enjoy watching GT. For many reasons, already expressed here, I'm just not into the series. I feel there are a lot of missed opportunities.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

Yes, I hated it I think the show would be better if it was only about 30 eps and just the Black Star Dragon Balls, then go directly to Omega Shenron Arc

Wait there is one more thing I liked about GT.
SSJ3 Kid Goku looked amazing. Just the right blend of radical and adorable.
Shame we only saw it like, twice. Idiots.

I actually liked GT. The ending was great. I thought it was an awesome way to end the series.

Honestly, I cried at the end.
"And now we end the story of the dragonballs with the hope that the Earth will never again see the kind of darkness that brought it close to extinction so many times. But if that day comes, there is one who will step out of the shadows, and fight in the name of all that is good and true!"

I was around 11 years old maybe, or I might have been 10. I saw the end on Adult Swim. I was really sad to see Goku's footprints wash away on the island.

Yeah. Only for a short while though. I think it was only every Saturday around midnight. I always would stay up and watch with my bag of Lays chips, Coca Cola, and Goku action figure.
