Which ones are these? Are they bootlegs? Good quality?

As a helpful reminder, Box 3 and the typically elusive Box 4 can still be found on the Funimation Channel shop for $44 with free shipping.

Just another heads up, that Complete Set auction is now down to $700, is this worth it?

It says it will be available on 5/27/2012 which is in exactly 2 weeks. 2 weeks is also the standard delay for any out of stock item on most online retail sites.

Considering Firefox immediately warned me about the site, and it tried to not let me close...I'd say no.Soul wrote:I REALLY can't tell if this is legit or not:

Apparently they ship you the thing but they also sign you up for a $10/mo "membership fee" that's basically impossible to cancel. So, legit and not legit?Soul wrote:I REALLY can't tell if this is legit or not:

Maybe trying to buy with a prepaid debit card is worth a shot.

Yeaah, I removed the link from my post as well. Seemed to sketchy.

After checking around a bit it seems you guys are right to be cautious, from what I've read hot movie sale seems have a bad reputation of scaming people but the price of DBOX 2 is pretty tempting so i'll be a guinea pig for this I'm going to get a prepaid debit card and order a copy of DBOX 2 just to see what happens (I hope this idea doesn't explode in my face).Soul wrote:Yeaah, I removed the link from my post as well. If anyone has any of the DB/DBZ/DBGT or Maho Tsuaki Sally Japanese single DVD's that they'd be interested in selling send me a PM and I'll see if we can work something out.

You can do it if you want, but I wouldn't recommend it.superrayman3 wrote:After checking around a bit it seems you guys are right to be cautious, from what I've read hot movie sale seems have a bad reputation of scaming people but the price of DBOX 2 is pretty tempting so i'll be a guinea pig for this I'm going to get a prepaid debit card and order a copy of DBOX 2 just to see what happens (I hope this idea doesn't explode in my face).

Well with a prepaid debit card there should be little to no reprecussions should things go sour also I want DBOX 2 at a very afordable price and this may be the best bet I get for a while if ever again so it's worth at least giving this site a shot.Pokewhiz7 wrote:You can do it if you want, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Re: FUNimation's Dragon Boxes have indeed been discontinued
Just letting folks here know I happened to snag a spare DBox 3 at an anime convention, just in case the ones at FUNi's shop end up not reaching your hands.
I'm probably not gonna let go of it right away, though, unless someone's willing to pay a knowingly-absurd price.

Re: FUNimation's Dragon Boxes have indeed been discontinued
There's a shop in Little Tokyo in Los Angeles that I was at a few weeks ago that had a couple DBoxes in stock. They have a website that has volumes 3, 5, 6, & 7 in stock for $60 each.
- DBox 3
- DBox 5
- DBox 6
- DBox 7
Even if you're not looking for DBoxes, they have a lot of really cool Dragonball stuff at that store. Check it out: http://www.animejungle.net/
EDIT: If you're actually in LA at any point, the address is 325 East 1st Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012 and their phone number is (213) 621-1660. They also buy used anime if you're looking to get rid of yours. I doubt they'd pay the outrageous eBay prices, though.

Now down to $600...wow could probably sell DBOX 2 alone for half that these days...

I'd just thought I'd point out that Amazon's listing for Dragon Box 6 says that there will be more on the way. ^^
http://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Ball-Box-S ... 529&sr=8-1
Though no other box says that.
