Honestly? I really can't think of anything that I didn't get cheap or for just normal retail.
I do like JB Hi-Fi because they were the only store that had Part 6, Level 1.1, were willing to order in 1.2 for me at no extra charge and hold it for me for a couple days so that I could go in on Tuesday and get it then.
I'll need to see if they can order in part 7 for me.

Re: Outrageous Prices You've Paid for Dragon Ball Goods
lol At least you guys have a JB Hi-Fi, we don't (live in Christchurch), so our anime range sucks.
But on topic, mine would have to be US imports for DBZ Seasons 5 and 6 at $85-90 each back in 2008 before the Anime Store owner and myself became good friends and when the sets were recent. Heck I didn't even pay that much for the Dragon Boxes when I imported them myself.
Another one if you want to call it outrageous was $50 for the Broli Blu-ray Double Feature (2007).

Re: Outrageous Prices You've Paid for Dragon Ball Goods
not DB, but I paid 30 bucks for 6 eps of FLCL
Re: Outrageous Prices You've Paid for Dragon Ball Goods
What comes to mind right now is I paid 6,000 yen for Shenron and Oozaru Ichibans together BUT the outrageous price of 10,700 on shipping x.x (they were totally worth it but still) and I'm about to spend 150$ on shipping too because all the kanzenban are so heavy to ship....stupid EMS these are the only two times I've ever used it.

That's so expensive for a set that comes with only 13 episodes, why haven't you decided to import instead?DragonBoxZTheMovies wrote:I paid $66 for Dragon Ball Z Kai Part 1...the next Kai DVD set I bought was $30.I know back in they day three episodes cost $20, but this was 2010! Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 - £14.95 they should've just sold it for £9.95 or less, I bought it thinking it'd have the original international soundtrack and also for the PtEtSS OVA. I'm happy with it overall, but don't play it very often.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

Recently...

8500 Yen for this Megahouse set...

9300 Yen for this Megahouse set...
Which really isn't that outrageous when you look at the ebay prices for these figures. Still not cheap though.

Raging Blast 1 ($50) and 2 ($60). Was NOT worth the money.
Re: Outrageous Prices You've Paid for Dragon Ball Goods
That's actually a pretty decent price. Were the Ocean episodes included too?Codarik wrote:All of FUNi's old DBZ VHS tapes (edited and uncut) for $300.00.

Yes. The only thing that wasn't included that I wish it was, were those boxes to keep the sagas separated and together.funrush wrote:That's actually a pretty decent price. Were the Ocean episodes included too?Codarik wrote:All of FUNi's old DBZ VHS tapes (edited and uncut) for $300.00.

$700 for the Dragon Ball Dragon Box although I guess you could say that's a good deal compared to other prices you'd find elsewhere.
Re: Outrageous Prices You've Paid for Dragon Ball Goods
...180$ for Dragon Box 2
Re: Outrageous Prices You've Paid for Dragon Ball Goods
That's probably a popular item of choice as of most recent purchases. $165 although in context I'm sure this volume set far higher standards for outrageous prices of 'Dragon Ball Goods'.dprez wrote:...180$ for Dragon Box 2

Re: Outrageous Prices You've Paid for Dragon Ball Goods
I sold Dragon Box 2 multiple times for $200+/- (from 150 - 250)
One of the most expensive items was Ohzaru Kuji I got last summer, cost me 120$ (Nearly like $80 to ship) because of the beastly shipping. The box was enormous, way too large. You could fit a damn body in there...
Also spent 230$ to get all the Dragon Boxes in one go from Rightstuf's 29.99 sale they had last summer
