Oh ok either way it's a very good sign, just the fact that AS is even mentioning the possibility of bringing Toonami back shows how much they're seriously considering going through with this and I really hope they do, maybe I'm the only one thinking this but 2012 seems to be a very interesting year so far does anyone else agree?
If anyone has any of the DB/DBZ/DBGT or Maho Tsuaki Sally Japanese single DVD's that they'd be interested in selling send me a PM and I'll see if we can work something out. ;).

Steve Blum has hinted at a return but I think he was just being sarcastic, if may 26th is evidence for anything I'd wait until then.

I don't think so, I actually think he feels the same way the fans do and is only telling us what he's been told regarding the posibility

I agree May 26th will let us know what's fact and what's not.

Steve Blum is an anime voice actor who's best known for being the voice actor for TOM during Toonami's run, he's done the voice for TOM ever since the robot was introduced all the way to the very end of Toonami's run in 2008 he also reprised his role as TOM for AS's 2012 Toonami April fools event.

Really? I thought Sonny Strait played Tom.

Sonny played TOM only in his first incarnation, which was from 1999-2000. Steve played the rest.

Hey its cool I only remembered Steve as TOM until I looked it up. Hell, I've watched Toonami from the beginning and I don't even remember Moltar.

Blu-rays and DVDs are the definitive solution, or PC/streaming.
This is a big, big deal. Marzgurl actually brought something similar up over at TGWTG:
http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videol ... pril-fools

Apparently Cartoon Network tried multiple times to put Inuyasha back on the air because when they would take it off they would then get assaulted by complaints. But every single time they reaired it nobody would watch. One thing with anime on TV these days seems to be that people just like knowing that it's there yet don't want to specifically watch it during that block. Anime culture is somewhat unique in that throughout its infancy it wasn't especially TV-centric. Yeah, it was there but the die hards always found alternatives, and that's only gotten easier over time. The issue is only exacerbated by shows like Cowboy Bebop which is much too short to do a whole lot with. You can't syndicate it and if you show it nightly you end up running the whole thing within a single month. How long can you keep people engaged that way? You want to keep rotating your lineup but you don't want to air garbage, either.

Dude I watch the shit out of Inuyasha it's my fourth favorite anime.
I think if they start airing Dbz at the Great saiyaman saga they will get a lot of viewers

I'm worried that it's just the old shows due to the fast turn-around, is my only concern. Don't get me wrong - I am BEYOND ecstatic for this, but I dunno if the block can survive on nostalgia alone...I think they're gonna need new shows as well to make this work.

Definitely tuning in on the 26th to see what they have in store though. I can't wait!

If I had read this news a month ago, I would have been excited as hell. But now after reading this thread and reasons why Toonami probably won't succeed, my excitement is a mere meh.

I'd rather Adult Swim just air Kai uncut with uncut script etc. that would be boss, Toonami was more aired towards kids.

And Kai's not a kid's show?

That aside though, I'm pretty sure they'll be going with the more 'adult' version of Toonami that we saw on April 1st. That style went over pretty well I think, and since the return ad is 'Toonami's back, bitches', it's all but certain that's what they're going for this time.

I'd love if Kai got put on there though, uncut or even just nigh-uncut. Nicktoons did great with the series, but not everyone gets that channel. The CW airing being what it was...Kai would be perfect for this.
