Gonstead my man I'll do it but I don't know wish one you want me to watch? Funi remastered or Funi's 1st in house dub I don't own the remastered but I have the in house dub on VHS. If you want me to watch the remastered it can't be done. I'll have to go on my labtop and look for the episodes on some site. My labtop will brun out by the time I'm half way through the saga. So theres no choice It'll be the VHS 1st thing in the morning.Gonstead wrote:You think you got what it takes to watch the entire Freeza Saga in 1 day? And it's the Season 3 dub no less!

It's the first in-house dub. It's what we commonly refer to as the "Season 3 Dub" or "The 1999 Dub".Pissing Rainbow wrote:Gonstead my man I'll do it but I don't know wish one you want me to watch? So, we're looking at episodes 75 to 107? Or is it 75 to 106? FUNimation and Kanzenshuu are one episode away from agreeing.

You gotta watch it with someone yo, like get your mom or dad or friend who hasn't seen it, and watch the Japanese sub Kai because tbh filler just drags it down.
Re: The Freeza Saga Challenge
I feel that 107 is the real finale of the arc. It has a stronger closing than the previous episode.Kendamu wrote:So, we're looking at episodes 75 to 107? Or is it 75 to 106? FUNimation and Kanzenshuu are one episode away from agreeing.

Going by uncut episode format, yes.Kendamu wrote:So, we're looking at episodes 75 to 107?
But since it's the edited episode format, it goes from episodes 61 to 92

Just saying if you're going to watch it with someone like your mom then you probably are going to want it to get to the point since old people have short attention spans. My mom says this is the best show she's ever watched, my fucking mom.son veku wrote:some people like the fillerNex Carnifex wrote:You gotta watch it with someone yo, like get your mom or dad or friend who hasn't seen it, and watch the Japanese sub Kai because tbh filler just drags it down.

Man, seeing this challenge makes me REALLY wish FUNimation would've kept going with the Level sets. The awful English dub is so nostalgic! I'd be attempting this challenge if I owned that part of the series, with the English Broadcast dub... Ahh, maybe someday :/

Ahh, but we're not talking about the Season Sets Dub. We're talking about the old in-house dub, full of Ocean VA imitating, corny jokes and script + Faulconer Productions music with no silence.sumpter360 wrote:Man, seeing this challenge makes me REALLY wish FUNimation would've kept going with the Level sets. Re: The Freeza Saga Challenge
It's true. I wouldn't have thought watching the Orange Brick dubs (via the Dragon Box) would be that different, but seriously, changing the narrator, improving the acting ability of most of the cast and (most importantly) having a decent musical score transforms the show completely.
I mean, it still has lots of stupid dialogue and bad translations, but it's a million times better than the 99 product.

If anyone watches it in english turn on the subtitles then you can tell what the dub said and read the subs
(the subs are the samee in both languages)
