It would have been more fitting if they included Gohan SSJ2 instead of Goku, again.

Re: Dragon Ball Z Kai - Part Eight
Has anyone gotten to...um...Episode 97, I think, yet? Whichever one ends with Dragon Soul playing in-episode. It was left in Japanese in the Nicktoons airing, so I was just curious how they handled that in the dub on the DVD.

You can try and ask LordCrehavos9000 to do Dragon Soul in Perfect Cell's voice, seeing as he's practically a dead-ringer for Clarke.dbboxkaifan wrote:Aw, no Dameon Clarke? Been asked that already, still not sure if I'd like to do that or not. xDGonstead wrote:You can try and ask LordCrehavos9000 to do Dragon Soul in Perfect Cell's voice, seeing as he's practically a dead-ringer for Clarke.dbboxkaifan wrote:Aw, no Dameon Clarke? It would be well worth it if you did do it. Absolute perfection XD.LordCrehavos wrote:Been asked that already, still not sure if I'd like to do that or not. xD

LC's pretty good but I'd prefer the authentic Clarke.Gonstead wrote:You can try and ask LordCrehavos9000 to do Dragon Soul in Perfect Cell's voice, seeing as he's practically a dead-ringer for Clarke.
But since there isn't, no biggie, I always just watch Kai in Japanese when on Blu-ray so, yeah.

Re: Dragon Ball Z Kai - Part Eight
I'd like someone has got a copy to rip the 5.1ch audio track of Gohan's SSJ2 transformation scene. I'll make a Yamamoto score version of it. I once tried to rip the track plays in the scene and couldn't fully remove voices, but I think my rip would still work when it's mixed with the English dialogue.

Definitely want to see that.kei17 wrote:I'd like someone has got a copy to rip the 5.1ch audio track of Gohan's SSJ2 transformation scene. I'll make a Yamamoto score version of it. It's in Japanese for both 97 & 98.Gyt Kaliba wrote:Has anyone gotten to...um...Episode 97, I think, yet? Whichever one ends with Dragon Soul playing in-episode. It was left in Japanese in the Nicktoons airing, so I was just curious how they handled that in the dub on the DVD.
Also, the sub I saw of Vegeta leaving the battle field had him say, "I have to go train," however, this version has him say, "I shall never fight again," which I really liked. However, they had Goku say, "King Kai is back to normal thanks to Shenron," even though King Kai's halo is clearly still present in episode 97. It's not edited out in the slightest.

Is that possible a translation error? I thought I remembered there being a Kai fansub that also said Kaio was brought back to life.Travis Touchdown wrote:"King Kai is back to normal thanks to Shenron," even though King Kai's halo is clearly still present in episode 97. Re: Dragon Ball Z Kai - Part Eight
That definitely is a translation error. Goku says "Kaiou-sama mo ima no shenron no chikara de ikikeeretan dakedo, yamete ora to tsukiatte kuren datte", which means "Though Kaio-sama was able to be brought back to life by Shenlong's power used a little while ago, he chose not to be so and said that he would follow the same fate as me". I understand why Simmons mistook the line, since the suffix "-reta" (ikikeeretan) can refer to both a fact and a possibility. Also, he must have missed "yamete" which means "chose not to be so" in this sentence.Metalwario64 wrote:Is that possible a translation error? Honestly, I don't see how Steve could fuck up that translation since I distinctly remember the same line in DBZ being translated correctly.kei17 wrote:That definitely is a translation error. Well, he was doing new translations this time over, and let's be fair - It's been a good few years since he would have done the old translations. Could have been a simple slip of memory. We all do it.

Re: Dragon Ball Z Kai - Part Eight
I thought this error was in the dub.
Is it also in the Japanese subtitles as well?

Re: Dragon Ball Z Kai - Part Eight
I thought he was talking about the dub because he used "dub names", and that line was in the dub for the Nicktoons broadcast. The way it's worded is sorta vague though, so I could also be wrong...kei17 wrote:I thought Travis Touchdown was talking about the sub. Re: Dragon Ball Z Kai - Part Eight
I checked out the Nicktoons version, and yeah, Goku says that wrong line.. So, he wanted to write "dub" instead of "sub"? If so, I'm sorry Mr Simmons!Metalwario64 wrote:I thought he was talking about the dub because he used "dub names", and that line was in the dub for the Nicktoons broadcast.
