If we're lucky, Spike will produce an RPG DBZ game, they probably can but also depends from Shueisha, Toei Animation and Namdai's vote before developing anything, I think.
Toei Animation to Tanimation isn't a bad mix name, I like it, but not gonna use it or users would be confused.

I wonder if they are doing a Playstation Move version. Considering that Sony is more popular than Microsoft in Japan and the 360 apparently didn't have the success in Japan that Microsoft wanted.

It's a fact that Xbox 360 isn't very popular in Japan, and the majority prefers Nintendo and Sony consoles over Microsoft, probably because they're accustomed to the companies who've they grew up playing with and Microsoft's a foreign in Japan.
As of today I registered on the Japanese Xbox LIVE to see what they had for downloads and whatnot, and was surprised to see the Inside Xbox Japan videos that they do like play with Kinect.
I grew up in the 90's with Sega SMD and Nintendo NES, both were fantastic, Sega's last console was Dreamcast and Nintendo started to drop their quality so seeing the similarities between DC and Xbox, I decided to move to Xbox, and I'm enjoying the system very much, it does all I want.
Honestly, I'd like to see Xbox 360 being sucesfful in Japan but it isn't likely, though Microsoft tried their best with the Japanese audience. One thing I'd like from the Japanese gamers would be, to play with them on GRID and hear them talk Japanese, than annoying German or French all the bloody time.

These Xbox 360 sales are pretty depressing but it's Japan, so it makes a bit of sense, not even the original Xbox was very successful in Nippon neither, unfortunately.

I'm thinking Xbox to Microsoft was a BETA console to the market and see if it worked, and it did, it didn't in Japan but the rest of the world, and that's what mattered.
Saimaroimaru, don't tell me you're a console fanboy? That's absolutely childish and illogical. I'm a gamer who enjoys playing games on every console (Atari, Microsoft, Nintendo, Sinclair, Sega, Sony, etc) and I don't avoid any console, and Xbox is one of my favourites to play on as of today. PS3 is too but Sony has disappointed me many times so I've kinda given up on PS3, though, I still pick it up sometimes to watch Blu-rays.

Re: "Dragon Ball Z For Kinect" Official On-Going Thread
Xbox is not popular in Japan because it's a American made console and it has no appeal to the Japanese gamers. Anything that is too western never seems to be that popular in Japan. For example, Akira Kurosawa movies where not that popular in Japan since every Japanese film studio refused to let Kurosawa direct a film since his films were considered too western.
I won't be surprise if the Kinect game does not get released in Japan and I could see it doing poorly in the US too.

Where did I say I avoided Xbox, I had one myself. Before Halo 2 came out, Microsoft was gonna get rid of it altogether, if all those games had the impact that you wanted then Xbox wouldn't have been on the chopping block in the first place. Not to mention that people preferred to buy those games pc version instead if they were available. Also, thanks for listing Halo and proving my point. Halo is one of the measuring sticks that Microsoft uses to gauge the health of its consoles.dbboxkaifan wrote:Since the PM of Saima is off, here's the message:Saimaroimaru wrote:The original Xbox sucked. The system was making them no money for years and as such it got canceled and the 360 was released. The original Xbox sucked because it was a money sink, games were available on Pc, and it hit less than half the expected sales Microsoft wanted despite a price drop(to $100) in 6 months after its release. The original Xbox was considered a failed attempt that got redemption through the 360 which was released quite early because it predecessor was costing them too much money and was dying or dead in some markets, and besides some dedicated online communities; it was dead.
Also, lets stop throwing around the word "fanboy". I have not shown any favoritism towards any other game system other than disliking the Xbox, which coincidently I had the least amount of games for. Plus it was more useful as a dvd player and it was not the only console capable of that functionality.
It doesn't matter in Japan? A Japanese franchise, developed in Japan that is influenced more by its Japanese fanbase, and it doesn't matter? Ok.
Also, lets get something straight here before we move on. When I mean sucked, I mean from a business perspective. I have never said that the Xbox had a bad video game library and its a known fact that it did not do well in Japan. Japan like North America and Europe is an important market, especially for anime/manga franchises.
My point about the potential exclusivity of this game is that if they make this a 360 exclusive they would cut out a lot of PS3 owners.
Also, what consoles you like is up to personal tastes and opinions. I gave each console I owned a chance and it doesn't make me illogical or childish if I didn't get much enjoyment out of the original Xbox.
