Well it was someone else here you pointed it out to me that made me think he was on the ground, before I had even gotten to that point in the manga.Michsi wrote:Huh? How is that on the ground? This is the only time I have ever seen anybody see that panel that way. He is clearly standing and what we have there is perspective from down up. There is no indication whatsoever that what he has behind him is grownd especially since Toriyama always makes it obvious, see Goku's panel right below.

Well to me it very obvious that it's wrong. If this was the main proof that there is a big gap between them, it's not a good one imo.

It wasn't. Did you miss where I was said I wasn't trying to say there was any big gap?Michsi wrote:Well to me it very obvious that it's wrong. If this was the main proof that there is a big gap between them, it's not a good one imo.

I wasn't referring to you precisely (I avoided "your main proof" exactly for this reason), but the idea in general of using that panel as proof, if you say there are others who interpreted it that way.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Saiga, like I said I'm done. Even before you tried to state that Piccolo was shown to be down in that fight in the manga (??), it was already becoming clear that continuing to debate with you was pointless after the moment that you continued to insist in refusing the existence of any plothole regarding those issues in the manga, even though I was more than willing to accept and discuss with you any kind of theory you might have about them as long as they made sense... just not the non-existence of plotholes regarding those issues.
But, even still, if you truly disagreed with me on the definition of plothole and you didn't agree that those issues were plotholes, you could, at the very least, say that, even though you didn't consider them plotholes, its true that those issues aren't explained in much detail in the manga (which is something that anybody can see).
And then, you could even say that, even though you are sure that the author had a very concrete idea of how those issues worked and played out, the truth is that the manga ends up not telling us much of that data in detail, which creates enough "interpretative space" for multiple interpretations that make sense and fit within the events since, without enough information within the manga to tell the reader just how everything is, everyone will have slightly or very different interpretations.
If you had at least stated this much, there would be a point in debating... Otherwise, there simply isn't any point.

Funny how this thread turned in a reckless debate regarding Piccolo power during the Cell Games.

Gohan must have told him everything he knew about Buu and he certainly seems to have a plan based on that info.dprez wrote:South Kaioshin has something up his sleeve. Maybe he knows about the gullible nature of this boo, or that he needs to completely obliterate every cell of his being.

Sometimes I want to suggest taking it to another thread, but then it seems like the debate is over. Repeat.Fox666 wrote:Funny how this thread turned in a reckless debate regarding Piccolo power during the Cell Games.
I hope it's done for real this time so we can stick to actual Multiverse talk.

I believe the way it works is that Uub will get an automatic win. The order of the matches seems to be already set.Gyt Kaliba wrote:I've been wondering how they're gonna handle that too. I mean, if they'll have Uub get an automatic win in his match - like some people did in round one - or if he'll have to fight the next person off of the list of winners. I'm guessing the former, but the latter could prove interesting as well.rereboy wrote:Nail has already given up even though we won against Reacum. He knew he wouldn't get far in the tournament.

The page is great too. I won't be surprise if he ends up winning against Buu.

Would be funny if Buu turns him into candy or something.

Not sure, if you can call an idiot someone, who need to see someone perform a technique once, to learn it, next page i expect shirtless Kaioshin

Destroyed his brain? Interesting, if this is the case I wonder if Buu would have gained an intelligence boost instead like with Piccolo.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Its an interesting theory since Dai Kaioshin, being the highest God and all, would probably tame Buu's evil and wild side more than the others, but that doesn't really explain why Buu should become such a child-like creature by absorbing him, since Dai Kaioshin probably wasn't stupid or child-like.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I chalk it up to them being opposites, Buu being pure evil or just evil since he had South Kaioshin in him. Perhaps when he absorbed the Dai Kaioshin his innocence or purity was strong enough to nullify any intelligence boost he would gain from absorbing him.
Being that Buu's magical biology doesn't like Kaioshin magic, aka Potara, maybe Buu was only able to absorb certain aspects of him such as his magical powers, love of food, innocence, and body stature.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Well, Boo was duped into not killing Bobbodi because the latter told him that he knew the incantation to seal him again, when Boo could easily just destroy him in one quick move before he'd even have the time to speak. And when he actually realized just how much stronger he was than his abusive master (egged on further after his encounter with Gokuu), he grabbed his throat to stop him from saying the sealing spell before he killed him, when, as aforementioned, he didn't need to do that in the first place. But I understand that was probably more for dramatic impact than anything (and everyone, including the heroes, were idiots in this arc anyway).coola wrote:Not sure, if you can call an idiot someone, who need to see someone perform a technique once, to learn it, next page i expect shirtless Kaioshin
Also, perhaps it was the combination of Pure Boo's uncontrollable and somewhat juvenile nature (even before he absorbed Dai Kaioushin; see his lollygagging during his fight with SS3 Gokuu) and Dai Kaioushin's innocence and purity that so affected his intelligence and made him childlike. Besides, the original Boo wasn't that intelligent himself anyway, and Fat Boo wasn't that dumb too (he learned the Kamehameha immediately after witnessing Gokuu's usage of it, which Gokuu himself even comments on), just like Gokuu himself isn't really that dumb.Saimaroimaru wrote:I chalk it up to them being opposites, Buu being pure evil or just evil since he had South Kaioshin in him. I have the same interpretation as you. I was only pointing out that the interpretation on this page actually makes a lot of sense (to the point that I almost wish it was stated somewhere in the original manga), even though a interpretation based solely on what we see in the manga also makes sense.Saimaroimaru wrote:I chalk it up to them being opposites, Buu being pure evil or just evil since he had South Kaioshin in him.
