Does it involve a black spiky haired boy with a monkey tail and a young woman with blue hair?Kendamu wrote:on a quest for the seven mystical Dragon Boxes.

That all depends on what your hair looks like and the people you meet along the way. During my collecting I actually got a group together made a journey to the West: I moved to California and one of the first things I bought was DBox 5 at a local Best Buy.Gonstead wrote:Does it involve a black spiky haired boy with a monkey tail and a young woman with blue hair?Kendamu wrote:on a quest for the seven mystical Dragon Boxes.

Did FUNimation 'fix' the Dragon Box Z Vol. 7 box problem with the later prints?
There's nothing wrong with the box 'cept it's a little bigger than the others.

Whats the error? I could check
Re: FUNimation's Dragon Boxes have indeed been discontinued
I doubt it. For them, that's probably as much trouble as re-releasing the Z Dragon Boxes for the fans who missed out...
Re: FUNimation's Dragon Boxes have indeed been discontinued
I thought about making a thread if people don't check this thread but yes; I got Box 4 from FUNi's site.
So if you want it? And at a reasonable price, hurry.

Thank you very much!
Wouldnt be interesting if they are making smaller amount of Dragon Boxes and scattering them around not telling everyone so people flip out and buy them up real quick?

Re: FUNimation's Dragon Boxes have indeed been discontinued
Pounce on it now, for soon enough, Box 3 and 4 won't be so easy to get at good prices like they are now.
Wal-Mart.com still has box 3 for $31 plus tax/shipping, and from this recent post here, Box 4 is also out there for a reasonable price, for now...

Re: FUNimation's Dragon Boxes have indeed been discontinued
American dub-fans didn't buy any of the Dragon Box Z boxes probably because it didn't feature Faulconer's music, so to them it wouldn't matter if it was re-release again or not.dprez wrote:I doubt it. They're perfectly happy with the Orange Bricks.

I wasnt expecting getting it cheap so I baught the season sets to fill the gap of my set...
Re: FUNimation's Dragon Boxes have indeed been discontinued
Yea, so what's the point in releasing a new set of Dragon Ball Z Dragon Box 7's that are at the same size as the rest. At least more Dragon Box Z releases would be bought by fans of the original who missed out, or at least fans that are in the know...dbboxkaifan wrote:American dub-fans didn't buy any of the Dragon Box Z boxes probably because it didn't feature Faulconer's music, so to them it wouldn't matter if it was re-release again or not.dprez wrote:I doubt it. They're spending their time working on the next Dragon Box release, which should be either the original Dragon Ball anime or the Z movies, at least, they should be..if they expect any more Dragon Ball related dvd's to ever sell again...

Re: FUNimation's Dragon Boxes have indeed been discontinued
I'm an ''American Dub Fan'' and I bought Dragon-boxes 1.3.6.7 and wished I could buy the rest. and I have plans on buying more Dragon-box releases. the fact that the Dragon-boxes didn't include the Faulconer score was and is irreverent to me. I like the English version and the Japanese.dbboxkaifan wrote:American dub-fans didn't buy any of the Dragon Box Z boxes probably because it didn't feature Faulconer's music, so to them it wouldn't matter if it was re-release again or not.dprez wrote:I doubt it. The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Re: FUNimation's Dragon Boxes have indeed been discontinued
You see, if I was a dub fan I would be like samurai, appreciate the superior picture quality of the Dragon Box release, and enjoy the english track with the original music, which is exactly what I preferred back when I was purchasing the Orange Bricks. I still find it funny to this day, that it took so long for me to appreciate the Japanese voices. When the Orange Bricks came out, I thought it was like the most awesome thing that could happen to a DBZ fan like me. Once I read the manga, I understood how vastly different the version I saw on Toonami was (and how flawed, especially after joining forums similar to this), compared to the original japanese version.
The english version will always hold a place in my heart, but I just can't take it seriously the way I do the original.

Re: FUNimation's Dragon Boxes have indeed been discontinued
Thanks for the heads up! I own all seven Dragon Boxes, but my copy of Disc 20 in Dragon Box Vol. 4 is defective and always freezes at one specific timecode, which has made ripping all the discs to my hard drive to archive them impossible. I had 41/42 disc images saved, disc 20 being the only one missing.Soul wrote:Here ya' go.
