The question that'll make your head explode...
Captain Ginyu comes back from Hell.
Gotenks's there to greet him.
They fight, Gotenks plays along with him, and then Ginyu does his body-switch attack.
Suddenly, Goten-Trunks are inside Ginyu's body and Ginyu is inside the body of Gotenks.
GinyuNGotenks laughs, and takes his time torturing GotenksNGinyu. Suddenly, the time for the fusion runs out. The body Gotenks with the mind of Ginyu splits into the bodies of Trunks and Goten.... what happens to Ginyu? And to Goten and Trunks?

Always talking about his mind, here are the possible scenarios I can think of right now:
Scenario 1: We have 2 identical Ginyus.
Scenario 2: We get an evil Ginyu & a good Ginyu.
Scenario 3: We get an evil Ginyu & a good, more "female" Ginyu.
Scenario 4: We get a serious Ginyu & a more child-like Ginyu.

Well Ginyu isn't dead, the Dragonballs were used to transport everyone which works in a sentence for even animals so him as a frog was most likely teleported to Earth. Even if he isn't his body must have been because it is a humanoid body meaning he'd come back from hell as a frog, lol.GS7X7 wrote:Captain Ginyu comes back from Hell.

But hypothetically Gotenks is a new personality that emerges when Goten and Trunks merge so I would assume that if Ginyu went into their body then his personality would be separated into two.
Re: The question that'll make your head explode...
It's absurd for someone so insignificant in comparison to a SSJ, then a SSJ2, ...then SSJ3, to have ANY ability that's superior. It's a rule in Mr. Toriyama's writing that people don't notice that much; he would have Ginyu's technique be completely useless on someone like Gotenks (even Freeza...), just like Tao was completely immune to Blue's "last resort" technique, and Tao was only "the next big thing" after Blue, while Gotenks, as a powerful guy, is billions x billions light years away from characters like Ginyu.
Ginyu's technique would evaporate miles away before it reaches Gotenks. Or Gotenks would just swallow it and poop Ginyu. Then Ginyu would be poop.

I wonder if the change would still work on one of Gotenks ghosts.

Guys, the question is what would happen if Ginyu stole a fused body. The scenario he provided doesn't have to be taken seriously...

We had a similar thread before: Ginyu...What if?
Anyhow, my answer was:

Godo wrote:I guess that it wouldn't work, since the fusion is magic.
But if it would work, maybe the following would happen:
Ginyu (Ginyu)
Gotenks (Gotenks)
Body Switch
Ginyu (Gotenks)
Gotenks (Ginyu)
Ginyu (Gotenks) goes on with his life, terrifying Bulma and Chichi, who have to adapt to their sons being a cocky and fugly mutant, or if we count continuity, where Ginyu's frog body was transported to Earth with Goku's wish, Gotenks would live forever as a Namek frog. He would be the only one of his kind too!
Gotenks (Ginyu) may become permanent, since there isn't two souls to split into, or simply, Gotenks (Ginyu) will split into Goten and Trunks' bodies, and Ginyu's soul would float around Earth for eternity, never able to reach the Heavenly Realm or switch bodies with someone again.
What a drag, Ginyu!

Yeah, I'm all for the "Gotenks is a unique individual, so even with Ginyu's soul in his body, he'd still split into Goten and Trunks when time ran out" answer. Then, depending on if you believe Gotenks is literally recreated every time the boys fuse, or if his soul is just magically summoned from the same place as his body and clothes, Ginyu would either be killed when his soul was overwritten my the next fusion or Gotenks would now be Ginyu every time they perform the technique.

So you're saying Ginyu in Gotenks' body splits into Goten and Trunks... so does Ginyu automatically return to his body, or just disappear and we have Goten and Trunks as per normal and Gotenks in Ginyu's body?
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Re: The question that'll make your head explode...
Depends on how you think Gotenks...er, works? lol
You'd either end up with Ginyu's souls ceasing to be when the fusion wears off, with Trunks and Goten returning to normal and leaving Gotenks A in Ginyu's body and then Gotenks B in his normal body the next time they perform the technique, or you'd have Ginyu's soul remaining in Gotenks' body while he is "sent back to wherever he came from till the boys 'summon' him again". lol

Scenario 5: Ginyu dies after the Fusion times out! Gotenks soul was created by to other souls, and can still split back in too again. But Ginyu's soul isn't like that. The result? Ginyu's soul violently splits in to, which kills him!

Re: The question that'll make your head explode...
That's what I imagine would happen. Though I wonder what would happen to Goten and Trunks' bodies in such a scenario? Would they appear as corpses, or would they be left technically alive, but soulless? Which I guess would be something similar to being in a vegetative state.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:Scenario 5: Ginyu dies after the Fusion times out! What if it happens like with the son of Katatz? Ginyu's soul gets split into two pieces of his personality?DBZGTKOSDH wrote:Scenario 5: Ginyu dies after the Fusion times out! One splits into his honourable and faithful side (as we see when he fights Goku and interacts with Freeza), and the other his evil and "cheating" side (as we see when he changes bodies with Goku).
So logically, Trunks would be the bad side, and Goten the good side.
It would be awesome to see!

Re: The question that'll make your head explode...
I kind of agree with Dorexx that it wouldn't work but not for that reason. Plenty of "weaker" abilities have affected stronger ones before in the series but I don't think the technique would work on Gotenks because it isn't a permanent body, it definitely has some magical/different properties which makes it so that doesn't work.
