Wow just wow WTF FUNimation why add censored dialogue to an uncensored release?
If anyone has any of the DB/DBZ/DBGT or Maho Tsuaki Sally Japanese single DVD's that they'd be interested in selling send me a PM and I'll see if we can work something out. ;).

Maybe they accidentally deleted the original clip, and when they had to remix it with the new music, all they had access to was the edited line.

What confuses me is that it's supposedly a Toonzai line, but I thought that the "new" lines in the Toonzai dub were from imitators. :?:

This sounds like Ayres though, so was FUNimation also providing Toonzai censored lines at some point? If this is just a good imitator, then why the hell does FUNimation have access to the line?

The rest of the dub is intact, or more Toonzai lines?

We'll have to wait and find out if they fixed the "Dude my truck! in Season 3.

I am utterly in awe at the fact that FUNimation always finds a way to make these errors with DragonBall. Although this is a very minor mistake, when a series has the history like DragonBall's in the English market, every little hing is more fuel to the fire.

Wow, Yamamoto is still indirectly screwing up so many things.

Did they replace a few lines such as Vegeta's 'I'm not finished' with 'I'm not gonna die'?

Got season 2 today, watched several episodes, didn't notice any other line changes. Oh and the Kikuchi music that played during Goku's Kaioken x20 Kamehameha scene was horrible. Why on Earth they had to choose that track for it is beyond me. It didn't fit at all and ruined the entire moment.

The BGM is happy-go-lucky-ish style isn't it?

I think I know which you're talking about.

Hm, might wait for season 4 rather than shelling out for Parts 7 & 8. Just want to clarify though, Funimation's Kai Blu-Rays are multi-region, correct?

If you didn't buy the Part Edition then your next 'best' choice is the Season Sets.

The Blu-rays of DBZ Kai are Region A/B, so it also works in Europe (Region B players).

I know how you feel, when I heard that I was pretty flabbergasted at how horrific it was in comparison to the original Z scene and the Yamamoto scene.

I liked the Yamamoto music too. Shame he plagiarised many songs though.

Weird scum/garbage/wimps thing. I mean, none of those words is a bad word, or anything, why not just pick one of them to go with?

Actually, "scum" is also a slang term for "semen".

Yeah, that's an odd one too. I remember watching Men in Black 1 back during the 90s, and I distinctly remember "scum" being said, with no-one complaining about it.

The irony behind the theory is that if by some chance FUNi actually deleted the original clip (which I see being highly unlikely), they could've easily just got one of their Part DVD's (I'm sure they still have a few copies of each disc in their archives for copyright reasons) and rip the Voice/SFX audio from that and spliced it in with the replacement score without any problems I mean if a common person is able to do it I don't see why FUNi couldn't .

Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfANJL_UaCs (0:33)

The BGM used is really silly and doesn't suit but lol it's actually kind of funny.
