I saw it with my little sister on the first week on a Friday night at AMC Towson Commons 8 (Now closed  ) in Towson, MD. It was playing in a small theater and we where the only people in theater along with three other people. I remember one guy was like "I already saw the movie like three times already on the Internet!". We both had a good time since we laugh on how cheesy the movie was.
Funny to mention that your theater got closed... because the one I saw the movie in got recently demolished!

My friend bootlegged it and let me watch it on my computer, but because the quality was quite poor, I didn’t have the best informed impression on it. So later, my friend suggested that we go see it in the cinema, and he’d pay for both of us. We watched it, and after we came out, he thought it was good (he’s an easily entertained guy; he liked the Transformers films) and I was glad I didn’t have to pay to watch that tripe.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t even one of those “so bad it’s good” films—you know, the kind of stuff you can put on for background, or while you’re with your friends to laugh at while eating nachos with dip. It was just flat-out bad.

I saw DBE at the cinema with one of my friends, and while I was dissapointed, he, who's not a Dragon Ball fan, wasn't. So maybe it's not that bad for people who just watch this movie like any other action movie without any knowledge about it's origins, or something.

Yep, and I've still got the ticket to prove it!

I had to go and watch it, I think everyone knew it was going to be bad. There were a few people in the Cinema, either other Dragon Ball fans or people who actually thought it looked like a good film.

Also can't believe that was 3 years ago!

I had my ticket saved for the longest time. I think I lost it when I moved though. :(
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

I think it was a bad film, regardless of its "inspirations". Plot structure, dialogue, characters, action, tone, etc.

I had to. I knew it would suck, but I had to see it in theaters.

There was only one other guy in there. I laughed at how terrible it was practically the whole way through. It was a ridiculously awful adaptation.

Its funny how the little film reel characters on that ticket have better choreography than the movie.

As for me, I've never seen it in theaters, only large chunks of it at home when it sometimes plays on HBO or Encore. My friends saw it at the movies though...they disliked it a lot.

I saw Dragonball Evolution movie at the cinema and their were only 5 people in the screening room with me. I actually found the fights entertaining, I didn't like the story was told like Namekian was destroyed by Oozaru. I literary thought of Bardock was dealing with Piccolo Daimao at that point.

I was literally the only one in the auditorium, excluding this one guy and his daughter (I think) popping in standing at the back for a tiny bit before disappearing.

I saw it two times.

Once on opening day with only 15 people in the theater and the 2nd time a week later in New York on a business trip since there was nothing else I wanted to watch.

I watched it in the theaters as well. The only thing that made it better in theaters was probably the graphics and effects. Then again I watched a bootleg version of it long before it released. And as everyone else as stated, not many people watching it and witnessed a few people walk out about 10 minutes into the movie.

I had a pretty good time seeing the movie in the theater. There were around two or three other people in the theater on opening day and my friend and I just decided to have Mystery Dragon Ball Theater 3000, mocking the film every five seconds. I generally like to do that whenever I take a friend along to the theater, but this time it was exceptional because no one shushed us. XD

It looks like I was not the only person who went to see the movie in a theater with hardly anyone in it. I was not surprise since it seem like no one was hype for the movie. The movie got bad word of mouth before the movie was released and it seem like everyone was bashing it before it was out. I never like going to a movie with hardly anyone in the theater, it's more fun to watch a movie in a pack theater.

Me too. I like collecting tickets and my Mom does well. My Mom still has her ticket of The Lion King, Godzilla, Pokemon: The First Movie and Titanic from the 90's.

Yeah I was sad when I hear that theater got shut down because I love going to that theater as a kid. I remember seeing The Lion King, Space Jam, and The Lost World: Jurassic Park in that theater back in the 90's since I would near by the theater at the time. The last time I went to that theater was June 2009 when I took my dad to see The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 .

Ah yes, I saw DBE in theaters with my dad. He found it somewhat enjoyable. I actually got him to start watching the actual show about a year later? We're in the Cell arc now.

Back on the topic of DBE though, I actually ordered the Japanese DVD recently so that I could check out the Japanese dub. It's currently on it's way to me from CD Japan. Maybe the presence of Kappei Yamaguchi and Aya Hirano will make it better? :P

I sure did! I brought 2 friends along, and we had a great so-bad-it's-good time! As soon as Goku fell on his face into a watermelon, we knew we were in for quite a film

Saw the midnight premiere. I had way too much to drink so I had to go to the bathroom during it. When I got back they were inexplicably in a volcano fighting rock monsters. I asked my friend how they ended up there in two minutes and he said "I've been watching the whole time, and I honestly have no clue."
