Re: Who saw DBE in Theaters?
My friend had it on bootleg before it came out in theaters somehow. I borrowed and watched it. Then I went with my Grandpa and saw it in theaters. I just laughed at the movie because I couldn't take it seriously at all.

It's still one of life's greatest mysteries.SSJ Helldog wrote:Saw the midnight premiere. I had way too much to drink so I had to go to the bathroom during it. When I got back they were inexplicably in a volcano fighting rock monsters. I asked my friend how they ended up there in two minutes and he said "I've been watching the whole time, and I honestly have no clue."
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?
Re: Who saw DBE in Theaters?
Unfortunately yes.
Although it was all good fun. Went with my older brothers (who are actually the reasons to why I was ever introduced to Dragon Ball and anime in general.)
It was a good laugh though.

Ha! Well, I just rewatched the clip on YouTube. I think it's definitely a melon of some sort. If not watermelon, perhaps honeydew? Very important.Jackal puFF wrote:That rock thing was a watermelon? Sadly I saw this in the theater. I should have just stayed home.
Re: Who saw DBE in Theaters?
I didn't see this in theaters, luckily. I'm kind of sad that I didn't get to see it be bad on a big screen, but it's not a big deal to me. I remember how my friends and I almost got tickets to it though. We were at the theater and we were gonna see it to laugh at, but one of my friends didn't like DB in any way, so we decided to see X-Men Origins instead.

I saw it with my Dad and brother. My brother and I knew what to expect and enjoyed it for what it was.
This will never not be my sig:

I can't believe this is on-topic.

Re: Who saw DBE in Theaters?
I saw it in the theater. Couldn't go the weekend it opened because Sakura Con was going on, so I went the Monday after opening with my husband. I didn't tell him how bad I knew it was gonna suck, so he kinda felt gypped after
I tried to justify it by saying that at least we saw it for free (we used a gift card), but he argued that we could have seen a good movie for free. And, because I'm a completionist, I even bought the DVD when it came out (I don't have the terrible Chinese live action movie on DVD yet. Will have to remedy that someday).
I'm still interested in seeing the Japanese dub of the movie, though. Not that it will make it any better, but I'm at least curious to listen to the Japanese voices (Mmmm, Kappei Yamaguchi)
Goddammit, I wasted my 500th post talking about shitty Dragonball Evolution.
How long did it take me to get to 500 posts? Hachinen ijou da! *crushes calendar*

I bought the movie too. Saw it at Best Buy for like $5 and figured what the hell. I very rarely pop it in, but it can be a blast at parties.
