I don't troll (at least not here), it's just a personal preference and I don't like, it's not trolling.

While it's just my preference their Ten is far from perfect, it's OK.

It's just the art style there.

The saiyan saga style has Tenshinhan much less bulky looking.

Do you know the difference between man boobs and pecs? I workout a lot, and I'm sure as hell you don't know the difference between them both.
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

They should have taken a better picture of Tenshenhan. Looks like they drew his third eye on that one. I'm hoping he has a more angry look in the trailer too.

Well your personal Preference seems to be skewed. On one hand, when people pointed out to you that Yamcha's "man boobs"(for the record they are called pecks) were decent sized and lined up with the anime you said the following...

dbboxkaifan wrote:1) That's the anime version not real life.
2) The image link doesn't work properly to show up.
...implying that you believed that the real life version doesn't necessarily have to line up 100% with the anime. Which is a fine statement to make. Toriyama's art style is probably one of the hardest styles to translate in real life. But then you said this when it came to Ten...

dbboxkaifan wrote:This is supposed to be an accurate live action version of DBZ?
Implying now he's not big enough like they are in the show. This leaves me really confused. You either don't know what you want or you are just trolling. So which is it? You don't have to like the direction this trailer is going, but at least have a consistent reason as to why you don't. It seems like you are disliking things to dislike them.
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

I wish we could get a better image of his third eye, hope it adapts well. As for the rest, I like their Tenshinhan, its pretty plausible.

The Yamcha they have is really good. Seems to outshine the other Z-fighters physically, which is a bit strange because he's so yolked, but with a limited budget it will be hard to make them all look physically perfect (with respect to the original). They get some points for finding real martial artists though.

Now that I think about it... why are they doing the Saiyan Saga specifically? Wouldn't it have been better to do the Piccolo Daimou arc if they are trying to do a better job than Evolution?

I assume they wanted to start from the beginning so they could work their way up to the other sagas. The Piccolo Daimou arc would be classified as Dragon Ball (not Z), which is not as popular I guess?

Dragonball Z seems to have a stronger impression on people. I don't know if it's because DBZ got popular first(at least here in the States) or if it's the way the video games handle things, but it's what most people know. That's what I figure at least.

The Tenshinhan looks pretty good. My only peeve is the face but I can surely look past that.

So I just got a comment from them on facebook about their new update saying they are not making a movie just a trailer. I commented on it saying the legal issues that they can face in this project saying the same stuff that Pafupafu said a few pages back and this is what they said to me:
"@Anthony Pierce; You are absolutely right in what you are saying and we fit all that criteria for fair usage as a) we are not making any money from this project, far from it as we have ploughed much of our own money into making the trailer b) everything in the trailer is completely new footage shot by and owned by us. Your correct about using the animated footage here but as i'm sure your aware we are not the only ones with DBZ content on youtube and if they want to take the animated trailer down from youtube i'm sure we will be told (along with the other million users with DBZ episodes etc) c) we have every receipt for every penny spent from the funds that were raised."
Funny how I guess they've never seen a Dragon Ball video taken off youtube due to copyright violations.

Do I have to be the jerk to say that someone who can't type properly probably isn't a legal authority on fair use?

'Cuz I just did.

Their Tenshinhan reminds me the protagonists of old Chinese martial arts movies. Which is a good thing.

After that they removed all my comments and blocked me. Seems like they dont like people saying how much trouble they can get into with this project.

Now I do commend them on at least trying to make something with this, but doing it the wrong way will never work out.

I understand why they would want to delete the comment, but why block? It's not like you were spamming them. They must be getting pretty paranoid with all the legality of their project coming into question all of a sudden.

It's the equivalent of sticking your fingers in your ears. The belief that if you don't hear it, it isn't a bad idea.

For their sake, I hope that logic doesn't bite them in the butt if Toei starts knocking on their door with a cease and desist. But hopefully it won't turn out that way, as I'm excited to see what their progress has led up to in the final trailer.

I hope this turns out good and becomes a success. Then after that I hope they do the Freeza saga.
