Dragon Ball - Advanced Adventure

Post by 012yArthur0 » Tue Jun 05, 2012 10:18 pm

Did anybody actually played this game? It's by far the best GBA DB/DBZ game. A beat-em-up and a fighting game with a good gameplay? Awesome.

Fun Fact: European Version has the Japanese Voices. So get it if you dislike the American Dub.

Are you asking because you want to know if it's good? Or are you just ranting on about this game?...which I do think is really good.

I'm just asking what you guys think about the game.

And you wrong my friend. Really Good doesn't fit the game. Use the word awesome.

The only problem though is way to easy even at hard mode. I beat people easily with longass combos.

Personally this is the best Dragon Ball game for Dragon Ball there is, you know, I really wish Namco Bandai would ever do an HD remaster of the game for Xbox 360, Wii U and PS3 but it's not very likely because DBZ is what milks better...? No.. :?

As for my favourite DBZ game it has to be Burst Limit.

An HD remaster would be an HD remake. You blow up these sprites to 1080p and they're going to look like blocky pieces of trash.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

Why would they turn a GBA game into a PS360/Wii-U game anyway? If it got a remake, wouldn't a 3DS remake be more appropriate?
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Xbox 360 and PS3 haven't got a single DB game at all, and this 2D DB game would be awesome to have on 360/PS3.

If it ain't in HD it doesn't matter, it'd still be great.

Sega Classics aren't all in HD.

People will buy digital re-releases of Sega Genesis games to justify the cost of porting / emulating / writing filters.

People will not do so for handheld Dragon Ball games en mass to justify even the boardroom discussion about it.

This game was a lot of fun and I remember buying the game in 2005. It's a good game to pass off time when you are on a road trip and I wish GT: Transformation (Another similar game) was just as good.

I'm making a 8-min video on the last stage on hard mode. And a last boss video as well.

However, the size is pretty big. 34 mb.

This game was once cheap now it's damn pricey, I lost my chance at a new sealed copy for £4 back in 2010, oh well, I'll just gotta be lucky and keep looking.

Finally bought mine last year for over 20 on Amazon UK, so I'm not sure how long it's been since it was cheap lol. Totally worth it, though. Boxed, with manual, the works.

No they won't. I played this game on an emulator. I changed the quality and everything to 720p which is HD and it competes with 1080p I guess. And it was looking clean and everything. And I don't think they will make a port to these 9th Gen consoles. Its a Gameboy game. Maybe to the 3DS which is also a 9th Gen Console... This game was fun. Its soundtrack was just amazing. So I agree with Saiga didn't see his comment <.<.

If it were to be released, then X360/PS3 would be better choices are more Dragon Ball gamers got either or both consoles than 3DS which would limit the gamers and seem like a somewhat exclusive port for the 3DS.

This is basically a 2D side-scroll adventure game with some fighting, heck, there's numerous games like this style available so don't see why refuse to port it to a wider audience.

Then again, when was the last time you saw a Nintendo GameBoy Advance game get re-released on the PS3 or Xbox360?

The only one that comes to mind right now is DIG DUG - Xbox LIVE Arcade Game - 11/10/2006 it's quite an oldie release date but you've asked and I gave you one example.

Namco Bandai simply won't develop an HD version of the game because the gamer just want another Raging Blast or whatever.
