Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
That's less a theory of "not huge gains" and more "always bare minimum gains"
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Not really. SSJ Vegeta at the Cell games could probably wipe the floor with his SSJ1 self of the beginning of the Cell saga, and SSJ Gohan at the Cell games could probably wipe the floor with Cell games SSJ Vegeta.
So, obviously, there's a great difference in power between them but not a HUGE one... (when the theory says HUGE, it really means HUGE, like becoming 100 times stronger or more, which, applied to a base form would be the equivalent of a Sayan gaining in his base the power he would only otherwise have with his SSJ2. Things like that. For example, for Goku to become stronger in his base than he was as a SSJ at Namek, he would have to become more than 50 times stronger. And of course, even 5 or 10 times stronger is already a great difference).
I'm merely saying that thinking that SSJ Vegeta could have become much stronger in his SSJ1 than Gohan was at the Cell games for example, would go against the no huge gains theory because, if that was true, and since there was already a great difference between SSJ Gohan at that time and SSJ Vegeta at that time and SSJ Vegeta at the start of the Cell saga, then there probably would be a HUGE gain between SSJ Vegeta at the start of Cell saga and SSJ Vegeta who is much stronger than SSJ Gohan.
Therefore, following that theory, Vegeta would reach a wall with his SSJ1 power before actually becoming much stronger than SSJ1 Gohan at the Cell games. And Trunks would too. So, if both did it, their SSJ1 should be close in power.
Which, like I said, would explain the need for newer transformations to keep getting stronger.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Look at the example of Goku.
For Goku to become stronger at his base than he was as a SSJ in Namek, he would have to be more than 50 times stronger than he was at his base in Namek (since SSJ is a 50x multiplier).
The theory of no huge gains simply states that are no gains this large or larger in a given form after the Namek saga.
SSJ Vegeta at the Cell games was already several times stronger than he was at the start of the Cell saga. This seems a safe assumption to make since he could probably wipe the floor with his own self from that time. But SSJ Gohan was probably several times stronger than him at the Cell games, since he could also probably wipe the floor with him, which places him way ahead of SSJ Vegeta at the start of the Cell saga.
But if we assume that Vegeta could have become much stronger in his SSJ1 than SSJ Gohan at that time, we are pretty much saying that it could exist a huge gain between SSJ Vegeta of the start of the Cell saga and that SSJ Vegeta, in the order of x50 or more, since SSJ Vegeta was already several time stronger at that time and SSJ Gohan was several times stronger than that.
Therefore, Vegeta would have to hit a wall before that. And Trunks too. And if they both hit it, their power in the form must be comparable.
Of course, if we don't go by this theory, then there is no wall, and Vegeta could have become 100 or 200 times stronger in his SSJ1 than he was at the start of the Cell saga, making him actually stronger in his SSJ1 than he would be in his SSJ2 if he had SSJ2 at the time. But like I said, DBM doesn't follow this, in DBM they do hit a wall, so it makes sense for their SSJ1 to be comparable.
Don't know how to explain it better than this.

I personally we don't get another Goku vs. Vegeta if Vegeta wins. The fighter will either have Goku winning or that the fight ends up never being finished.

What will Vegeta look like after taking that blast...
Trunks is so cool here. He can raise his power into Ssj2 territory with his mastered Grade technique. He's a badass.

Vegeta's going to be impressed by all this but he won't be in any danger of losing.

Trunks is doing something with the Super Saiyan (1) form that no other saiyan has.

So...is this showing that Trunks became the Deoxys of Super Saiyans?
(if that's how they're going about it, it might be somewhat interesting)

For a sec I thought you were referring to Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) but then I remembered the Pokemon.Rukura wrote:So...is this showing that Trunks became the Deoxys of Super Saiyans?(if that's how they're going about it, it might be somewhat interesting)
I hope Trunks has some interesting things to do when the true plot unfolds.

At this rate, I won't be surprise if Trunks wins. It would be interesting if he does win.

Wow, he can partially go Grade 3? Awesome.

Trunks' strategy seems to consist of distracting Vegeta with regular SSJ first then hitting him with a surprise attack in Grade 3.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

That can't be healthy.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Trunks is pretty damn fast even in regular FpSsj, and with grade 3 his power is enough to put a (most likely) suppressed Ssj2 Vegeta in the dirt.
I gotta think, that Grade 2 is not being used here. He's a FpSsj, using "Grade 3" to boost his power, but he seams to have trained the form to have no speed loss. He must've mastered his Ssj form and then some. Basically doing everything a super saiyan can to increase his power without ascending to Ssj2.
This Trunks should be able destroy Super Perfect Cell, and without Ssj2. That's pretty cool...

We don't know if he is in DBM, though it was hinted he was in the manga (I believe that he was).dprez wrote:He's a FpSsj, using "Grade 3" to boost his power
