Funimation Dragon Boxes Buying

Post by Jacktenstar » Thu Jun 14, 2012 11:26 am

:D Hi, I am new to the forum so forgive me if I do something wrong.

I live in Australia and since March I have been searching high and low for the FUNI dragon boxes at the lowest prices.

I ended up buying from Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, Ebay and managed to get 1,3,4,5,6,7 for around $270, which I consider decent considering how rare some of the boxes are becoming.

I ordered Dragon Box 2 from Indigo Chapters in Canada on Special Order but they could not find a copy.

Anyway, I am still trying to locate a copy of Dragon Ball Z Dragon Box 2 in Like New, New condition that is not over $120 shipped to Australia.

Anyone know where I could find one??? Online Stores, sellers etc.

Send me a PM if you have one that you are willing to part with as well.

Thanks

You've done well so far. I ordered DBox 2 from several sites during my search and all of them had to cancel my order. I ended up buying one on Red Flag Deals for $125 (I think), and I had to buy a fairly expensive DBox 4 too. Then after I'd done that a new wave of cheap ones appeared >.<

Yeah, I got lucky with Dragon Box 4.

Around the time Rightstuf got about 10 or so copies a couple of months ago, 4 copies on ebay were available buy it now for $50 each all up brand new. They were gone in a few hours. If I was smart I would have bought all 4 and sold them, again. At that time Dbox 4 was going for as much as Dbox 2.

I have to laugh about people on Ebay trying to sell Dragon Box 2 Buy it Now from $220-339. No one is buying those ones.

I was lucky enough to get the first two as they came out. I nabbed the third one on Wal-Mart and the fourth one on Funi's shop for cheap just here recently. The best place I know is to keep your eye on Amazon's used section, every now and then someone will pop up with one for pretty cheap.

I know of a random store in upstate NY that sells used DVDs that is selling a used (apparently in great condition) DBox 2 for about 35$. . .the store is known for its good deals on used stuff but in this case I guess they really don't know what they have. I never snapped it up b/c I already have the set but if you're interested PM me and I'll give you the info for the store, they may be able to ship it out. I don't think they have an online component.

I mean a copy that has been very well looked after and has no dents or tears in the box, or scratches on discs etc.

Doesn't have to be Brand New. As soon as I get it I will be opening and watching it anyway.

It is so annoying that there are so many copies in brick and mortar stores like HMV in canada, which cannot ship internationally.

I don't have any relatives there to buy one and send over either.

Well I would probably pay $150 for Dragon Box 2 as long as it is New/Sealed and the box wasn't damaged.
At least that way I know it would be fine.

I would pay maybe $130 max for a Dragon Box 2 in Mint/Like New condition as long as the discs were not scratched and the box was not damaged.

I really am getting impatient. It has been over a month since I finished watching Dragon Box 1 and I am eager for the Namek and Frieza saga's.

As usual contact me if you have one to sell.
