I don't know what it is, but does this cover seem "brighter" than usual? Anyway, I should be able to get this when it comes out. I assume since the corresponding parts already used Kikuchi that these will be exactly the same, and not have any of that scum/trash/wimps bullshit. And luckily I was able to track down parts one through four, though three and four are unfortunately on DVD. Not that it's that big of a deal, but it's a bit disappointing.

Even though I've seen the cover on the part before, that cover looks pretty sexy.

Something does seem different about it to me too, but I'm not sure exactly what...

I'll definatley be getting the blu-ray for this in the future. Now if only I could get parts 3 &4 blurays for a good price... luckily I managed to snatch up probably one of the last part 2's blu-ray during a rightstuf sale early in the year though.

Hopefully they will fix the "Dude my truck!" mistake.

I wouldn't mind picking this up if they do fix it.

I'm almost certain these will be the exact same discs from parts five and six, just with new disc art.

Dont be sure. DBZ Kai season 2 had voice edits.

Only because they had to remix it with the new music. There's nothing major on these discs to change.

Voice edits? What'd you mean? Are you talking about those lines that were obviously for the TV version but ended up on the DVD version? If so I had no idea they fixed that. Nice.

No, they mean an (some?) uncut lines on the previous DVD were replaced with Toonzai dub lines, such as Freeza saying "this planet is positively crawling with scum" in the uncut version, but in the new DVD version he says "wimps" instead of "scum", as he did in the Toonzai version. Not nice at all. :(

Example here.
"Kenshi is sitting down right now drawing his mutated spaghetti monsters thinking he's the shit..."--Neptune Kai
"90% of you here don't even know what you're talking about (there are a few that do). But the things you say about these releases are nonsense and just plain dumb. Like you Metalwario64"--final_flash

This is released on my 22nd birthday. :P

I plan on picking up these Kai seasons eventually, and as one and two still seam to be easy to find, I'll hold out for a little while. I actually really want to watch all of Kai in english, to experience this new and improved dub, and to compare the Japanese voice actors then and now.

There weren't any audio errors on the original dvd/bluray parts, was there? (Minus the paper clip truck guy.)

Apparently not. From reading this thread, only that Freeza line seams to have been changed on this Kai season set...lame, but o well, it's such a miniscule thing anyway.

It would be upsetting if the "dude my truck!" line isn't removed from this set. I mean, you would think someone at FUNi would notice and say "Wait a minute, that ain't right!"

I thought they recorded two entirely different dubs? Why would they go and mix the audio from the edited one into the uncut one? :?

"WTK" user from Mania.com uploaded a ''fixed'' cover preview of Kai Season Three.

The blue bar now looks better and more natural alongside the other Blu-rays.

As expected the "Dude, my truck!" line is still intact in this set. Damn shame nobody at FUNimation caught it and removed that stupid line.
