Dragon Ball Z Calendar 2006
I recently purchased the Japanese 2006 Dragon Ball calendar over on CD Japan and I urge everyone else here to do the same. There is only one word I can use to describe the huge images in this calendar: Fucking Awesome! (Well that’s actually two words but who’s keeping track anyway?)
First of all, I had no idea this calendar would be so huge. It’s about two and a half feet long. Each page, there are seven including the cover, makes a beautiful poster on its own.
The drawing themselves are literally breathtaking and cover all the major battles throughout DBZ. Here are some pictures I took of each page:

The little description on the cover is pretty funny seeing as how there are so many errors.
G o k o u is the only hope for Earth.
The fate of the world once again rests on the shoulders of it’s greatest champion.
But this time G o k o u must win over aneven more powerful enemy then F r i e z a.
This time G o k o u must save Earth from the Android-powerful being created to be perfect fighting machines.
And they are on a search and destroy mission to eliminate G o k o u.
While we are on the topic of calendars, I was wondering if anyone knew were I might be able to purchase this one http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/(mint,simple,w ... EOTX-21196 (2004) or a 2005 one if it should exist. The images must be equally as awesome and I'd love to use them as posters.

This one's pretty cool.
Shame about the lack of Tien, not so much with Maron though.
Edit - I refuse to give in to nazi-word filters. :)

The total price I payed was 2,900 yen or $24.58. (This was after I used my free 300 points) CD Japan has since then put it on sale for $13.73. Shipping is about $10.45 so that would come out to an approximate total of $24.18. If you use the 300 free points they give you for starting an account it will only cost $21.40.Chaos Saiyajin wrote:Fucking Awesome doesn't even begin to describe these. How much did it cost, Mike?
If all that was utterly confusing just go here to find out the price and order.

They look amazing.... I would rather use them as posters then a calender.

Ya, the majority of the Japanese anime calendars are made that way. I've got the 2004 one. And MajinRed, the pages are actually tearable, so once you go to the next month, you can keep the images and use them as posters. That's what I did with mine.

Jerseymilk: "Can I tell you something?"
B-kun: "What?"
Jerseymilk: "I see Fangirls."

The art is great, and um, haven't you seen the r2 covers? About same art there.Tsukento wrote:What the hell?
Gokou? Frieza? Androids? Lotsa Engrish! The first part of the calender automatically fails for me.
Although the illustrations make up for it 100%. That's probably the best art for Dragon Ball I've seen in a long time. @_o
I was impressed by this calender at first glance, wich I think was when I saw images of it posted on the Daizenshuu EX main page. The art is really awsome and breathtaking is a good way to describe it. I hope to definatly get my hands on this calender before 2006 ends. Not only because I've been wanting a DragonBallZ calender for a while, but for collecting's sake since the images are so great.

Ya I suppose I could. Give me a few days, just in case I don't get a chance today or I forget to do it.Mike wrote:Would you be able to take some pictures of it? I'd love to see the images and would also like to compare them to the 2006 one.Jerseymilk wrote: I've got the 2004 one.
