Voice actor interview thread.
Apparently Sean Shemmel originally auditioned for the part of Captain Ginyu but instead got the part of Goku. Has he ever shown what his Ginyu voice would have sounded like at a convention or something? EDIT: this thread is now for interviews with DB voice actors from conventions and other things.

Can we turn this into a VA interview thread? I love finding interviews and panels full of all sorts of interesting information.

And maybe not exactly what you want, but the GT dub:

As much as GT is ass, I love seeing the VA's at work. Nice find. Also, Nadonly is hotter than I once thought.

I've interviewed Kyle Hebert & Sean Schemmel on my website here:

I got everything I wanted to ask with Kyle, but I was only given 15 minutes with Sean.

They used Faulconer music in this but did not use him in the actual show. And maybe not exactly what you want, but the GT dub:

My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

Really? From what I remember, it sounded more like the original japanese soundtrack for this show.
Also, am I the only one who finds it really hilarious that Hiei is doing the narration for the GT dub? I can't help but imagine him rolling his eyes, in disbelief that he's somehow been roped into talking about a childrens cartoon XD!

The GT one is very interesting. They mention telecine-ing, but they got GT on tape (in fact, they may have received a copy of the digital broadcast masters.) And when they talk about closed-captioning, they spell his name "Gokou." Weird. I like how they included the Japanese version at the end, even though it was muffled by the music.

Does anyone else have anymore links like the GT recording? Those are always interesting to watch.

Chris Sabat, Eric Vale & Todd Haberkorn are all in Australia at the moment & over the past couple of days I've had the opportunity to interview all 3 of them. Keep an eye on my interviews site:

As they should be up there within 24 hours or so.
